NFL Sunday Night Football Picks & Player Props: Patriots vs. Bills (Week 5)
Last week, we went 2-0 with our Sunday Night Football picks, which included the Cowboys at +6.5 over the Packers and Javonte Williams to add at least 51 rushing yards. Let’s keep the wins coming with tonight’s picks for Sunday Night Football.
The Packers-Cowboys made for an interesting game last weekend. But there’s nothing better than a divisional rivalry matchup on Sunday Night Football. That’s what we’ll get tonight between the New England Patriots and Buffalo Bills. The Bills are 4-0, but the defense has allowed at least 19 points in three of their first four games. The offense is good enough to win any game. But the defense won’t wow anyone. Does this mean the Patriots can stun the Bills tonight?
I’ve added my best bet and player prop for tonight’s AFC East matchup. Check out my top NFL Sunday Night Football picks & player props below.

New England Patriots vs. Buffalo Bills (Game Pick)
The Buffalo Bills are the superior offense. They’ve scored 33.25 points per game and have added 240 yards in the air per game, while also earning 163.50 yards on the ground per contest this season.
But Buffalo could struggle rushing the football tonight. After all, the Patriots have allowed only 77.50 yards on the ground per game this season. The Patriots have struggled in the secondary, but at least the pass rush is starting to get through.
The Bills should add some big plays down the field, especially since Josh Allen can escape any pressure. But if the Patriots can at least get the Bills in third-and-long situations, they’ll have a chance to win this game.
On the other hand, the Bills have given up only 125.75 yards per game through the air, but 164.25 yards per contest on the ground. The Patriots have averaged 101.25 yards rushing per game this season, but they’ve got three different runners, none of whom has taken the No. 1 RB job this season.
That said, Drake Maye is turning into a leader for New England. He’s completed 74% of his passes through the first four games. He has seven passing touchdowns and only two interceptions. Stefon Diggs, his No. 1 receiver, admitted he’s still learning the system and getting comfortable. But I’m sure he’ll be ready against his former team.
Give me the Patriots at +7.5.
Pick: Patriots +7.5 (-105)
New England Patriots vs. Buffalo Bills (Player Prop)
Stefon Diggs caught six passes last weekend against Carolina. He played a season-high 63% of the snaps and had seven targets in the dominant win over Carolina last week.
Ultimately, Diggs added 28 yards after the catch and had 73 air yards. Diggs is a legitimate threat, and he’s starting to really get involved in this offense. If he continues to see an uptick in snap percentage and is more and more familiar with the offense, look for Diggs to be used like a No. 1 receiver is typically used.
Grab Diggs to add at least five receptions.
Pick: Stefon Diggs Over 4.5 Receptions (+100)
