NFL Sunday Night Football Picks & Player Props: Steelers vs. Chargers (Week 10)

The Steelers and Chargers are both coming off 27-20 wins against their last opponent. They’re also both fighting for a playoff spot, sitting with only three losses each. The Steelers currently lead the AFC North by a couple of games, while the Los Angeles Chargers trail the Broncos by multiple games in the AFC West. Ironically, the Chargers have the better record and are the favorites at home tonight. With that, I’ve added my top NFL Sunday Night Football picks & player props for tonight’s game below.

Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Los Angeles Chargers (Game Pick)

This should be a competitive game between the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Los Angeles Chargers. The Steelers have scored 25.3 points per game, nearly two more than the Chargers. Meanwhile, the Chargers have allowed about three fewer points per game this season.

Ultimately, the Chargers have performed better offensively. They’re averaging over 250 yards in the air and have gained 124 yards on the ground. They’ve gone through multiple running backs, but continue to get good running from whoever takes the ball. That said, the Steelers have allowed just 105.5 yards per game on the ground and have performed solidly against the run. What stands out most on Pittsburgh’s defense is its pass rush behind T.J. Watt. That said, Justin Herbert has more wheels than you’d expect and has escaped pressure with some big gains a lot this season.

On the other hand, the Chargers have struggled to tackle consistently. The Steelers aren’t going to run down your throat, and it’s not hard to get Aaron Rodgers down anymore. The Chargers’ secondary has performed better overall, and Los Angeles’ run defense likely won’t allow triple-digit yardage.

Therefore, I’m rocking Chargers -2.5 on Sunday Night Football.

    Pick: Chargers -2.5 (-120)

Aaron Rodgers Under 0.5 Rushing Yards (Player Prop)

Aaron Rodgers has added at least one rushing yard in 63% of games this season. However, he’s added none in two consecutive games and will face a Chargers defense ranked third in rushing attempts allowed this season. I’ve got the Chargers winning, so it’s not like Rodgers will kneel it and lose yards in this scenario. But he’s only averaged 1.3 rushing attempts per game over the last 10 games, dating back to last season.

As a matter of fact, he’s averaged just one rush in each of his last four games. He’s not looking to take any extra beating this year. Let’s take his rushing yards under to close out our Sunday Night Football picks.

Pick: Aaron Rodgers Under 0.5 Rushing Yards (-102)
