NFL Thanksgiving Day Touchdown Scorer Prop Bet Odds, Picks & Predictions (2022)

This Thanksgiving, we’ll be in for a long day of football. During the day, the Lions will host the Bills before the Giants take on the Cowboys in Dallas. Both games should be exciting and feature plenty of stars on offense. Given the caliber of offense we should see Thursday, there’s plenty of TD Props worth playing as you wait for Thanksgiving dinner to start.

Below are four TD Props I’ll be playing on Thanksgiving.

James Cook Anytime TD +220 DK

Coming into the season, James Cook was a trendy sleeper pick in fantasy football. As a high draft pick out of Georgia, Cook carried an expectation of taking significant amount of backfield work right off the bat. Early in the season this year, that storyline didn’t quite play out. Devin Singletary has largely dominated work in the Bills’ backfield, posting 480 yards on 110 carries thus far this season.

Last week, Cook made a bigger impact in the Bills’ running game. He posted a career-high 86 yards on just 11 carries, representing 38% of the Bills’ backfield carries. He has three red-zone carries over the last two weeks – in the absence of a true power back, Cook should have a chance to get in the end zone with a larger carry share this week.

The Lions have allowed 12 rushing TDs to RBs in 10 games – tied for 2nd most in the NFL. I expect the Bills to take advantage of this weakness by keeping the ball on the ground when they get near the goal line on Thursday. Given Cook’s +220 price tag compared to Singletary’s -110, I love the longshot play of Cook getting an opportunity to get in the end zone.

Jamaal Williams Anytime TD +105 FD

11 weeks into the season, Jamaal Williams is surprisingly atop the NFL TD leaderboard with 12 scores this year. Williams has been a force around the goal line – his 35 red zone opportunities this season are tied for the NFL lead. While D’Andre Swift is a very talented RB, he’s been hampered by injuries and doesn’t profile as a true goal line back as much as Williams.

With a total of 54.5 points in this game, I expect the Lions to do well enough on offense to get plenty of red zone opportunities. Given that Williams is their primary threat when they get near the goal line, he should get a few opportunities to score a short-yardage TD. It’s surprising to see this offered at plus-money on Fanduel – I think this is an excellent value.

Dalton Schultz Anytime TD +230 FD

The Cowboys come into Thursday’s game against the Giants as 10 point favorites at home. This is due in large part to their offense, which has put up big numbers in recent weeks including a 40 point showing against the Vikings last week. While CeeDee Lamb and Tony Pollard have commanded headlines in recent weeks, Dalton Schultz is showing signs of a possible breakout game soon.

Over the last two weeks, Schultz has five red zone targets – this is more than any other TE in the league in that span. He’s averaged 6.3 targets per game over his last four games as he’s come back from a knee injury that hampered the early part of his season. Despite this high target volume, he has just one TD in that four-game stretch.

Schultz has seen a ton of opportunity, and he’s a prime candidate for a positive TD regression. Given the offered +230 odds, I really love this play in the Thursday afternoon game.

Daniel Jones Anytime TD +280 FD

While the Giants’ running game revolves around superstar RB Saquon Barkley, Daniel Jones is quietly putting up a very efficient rushing season. Over his last four games, Jones ran for 201 yards on 29 attempts with 2 TDs. While he isn’t necessarily the world’s best passer, he’s emerged as a dual threat QB that can help his offense.

On Thursday, Jones may be in for a long day against the Cowboys’ defense. Dallas is first in the NFL in sacks (42) and pressure rate (41.1%). The Giants come into this game down four offensive-linemen, and star OL Andrew Thomas questionable. All signs point to Dallas being able to generate consistent pressure. Given the odds of plays breaking down, Jones could run the ball more than he has all year.

A combination of opportunity and efficiency means Jones could be in for a big rushing day on Thursday. If Jones can break a long run, or get a few red zone carries, he has a great shot of scoring.
