NFL Week 1 Confidence Pool Picks & Predictions (2024)

We’re headed to Week 1 of the NFL season!

There are many work pools and family/friends pools where you’ll be asked to select teams to win outright. I’m here to help throughout the entire season and will give a straight-up pick (with confidence) for every game of the NFL season.

Here are my Week 1 confidence picks.

NFL Confidence Pool Picks

(1) Ravens | Ravens vs. Chiefs

The Ravens want revenge after the AFC Championship loss last season.

(2) Packers | Packers vs. Eagles

While Romeo Doubs could be out, the Packers have plenty of weapons in the receiver room that could dominate the weak Eagles’ secondary.

(3) Titans | Titans vs. Bears

It’s usually wise to fade rookie quarterbacks making their first starts. Rookie quarterbacks have only won two games over the last 21 games played over the season’s first three weeks.

(4) Cowboys | Cowboys vs. Browns

The Cowboys shouldn’t be underdogs on the road in Week 1.

(5) Falcons | Steelers vs. Falcons

The Falcons look much better on paper this season. However, Mike Tomlin somehow finds ways to keep his team relevant. It’s why I’ve kept the Falcons at the No. 5 spot.

(6) Texans | Texans vs. Colts

I’m taking C.J. Stroud over Anthony Richardson whenever I get the opportunity.

(7) Vikings | Vikings vs. Giants

The Giants didn’t score a passing touchdown in three pre-season games. With Daniel Jones under center, I don’t even think the Giants are confident they’ll win games this year.

(8) Dolphins | Jaguars vs. Dolphins

The Dolphins are poised for another big season with a healthy running back group and dominant receivers.

(9) Chargers | Raiders vs. Chargers

The rumor around Los Angeles is Justin Herbert has looked really good since returning to practice after finger surgery. I believe it.

(10) Seahawks | Broncos vs. Seahawks

Again, we’re fading a rookie quarterback here. Denver has already named former Oregon quarterback Bo Nix the starter this season.

(11) Buccaneers | Commanders vs. Buccaneers

If any rookie quarterback looks his best, I think it’d be Jayden Daniels just because he can do so much. That said, the Buccaneers brought back Baker Mayfield and Mike Evans and have so much chemistry heading into this new season.

(12) Lions | Rams vs. Lions

The Detroit Lions will be a Super Bowl contender this season.

(13) 49ers | Jets vs. 49ers

I just hope Aaron Rodgers stays healthy heading into Week 2. The 49ers will be swarming on defense.

(14)  Saints | Panthers vs. Saints

The New Orleans Saints probably didn’t get much better from last season. However, the Panthers didn’t really, either.

(15) Bills | Cardinals vs. Bills

Enjoy the Bills’ early success. It might not last, thanks to a subpar receiver room and a defense that has recently struggled to stop the run. Luckily, they’ll enjoy a win against the Cardinals before some regression.

(16) Bengals | Patriots vs. Bengals

With or without Ja’Marr Chase, the Bengals have a better receiver room than the Patriots.
