NFL Week 17 Early Odds, Picks & Predictions (2024)
Although Week 16 of the NFL season hasn’t begun yet, I peaked at the Week 17 odds for next week. Ultimately, the goal is to find +EV bets for the following week. These odds will change after the Week 16 results. My job is to predict Week 16 and then have some really good bets for Week 17.

Kansas City Chiefs vs. Pittsburgh Steelers
The Kansas City Chiefs will take on the Pittsburgh Steelers on Christmas Day. As of now, it looks like Patrick Mahomes will be alright despite a high-ankle sprain.
However, the Chiefs face a tough matchup against the Texans this week and could start Carson Wentz instead of Mahomes. Even if Mahomes plays, he might not look 100% and might push bettors away from the Chiefs until the playoffs.
Remember, this game will be played on Wednesday. This doesn’t give Mahomes much time to recover from Sunday’s game if he plays at all.
Meanwhile, the Steelers play the Ravens on the road. A loss wouldn’t look bad for the Steelers. However, a win would certainly give bettors a reason to back the Steelers over the Chiefs at home on Christmas.

Denver Broncos vs. Cincinnati Bengals
The Denver Broncos will play the Los Angeles Chargers tonight on Thursday Night Football. The Broncos are on a four-game winning streak and have scored at least 29 points in all four games. If they continue this streak against the Chargers, bettors will take note.
Meanwhile, the Bengals are coming off 37 points against the Titans. They’ve also allowed at least 27 points in each of their last five games. Cincinnati’s offense is legitimate, but the defense is far from it. That usually helps the over.
If the Bengals’ offense takes care of business at home against the Browns and the Broncos continue their scoring rampage on the road against the Chargers, the total for this Broncos-Bengals game in Week 17 will get higher.

Atlanta Falcons vs. Washington Commanders
The Atlanta Falcons have benched Kirk Cousins for Michael Penix Jr. The rookie quarterback will make his first start in the NFL against the Giants.
Ideally, if Penix Jr. struggles early, many fans will lose enthusiasm for him. Penix Jr. has a lot of potential, but many unknowns remain. The Falcons haven’t played well offensively behind Cousins, which makes me weary of him.
Washington will face the Eagles at home after two consecutive wins. While I think the Eagles will win this game with Washington at home, I believe the Commanders will absolutely put up a fight. If this scenario happens, bettors will rock with the Commanders.
