NFL Week 2 Confidence Pool Picks & Predictions (2024)

Last week, we finished 11-5 but currently rank just under 36,000 on ESPN’s Pick ‘Em with 109 points.

While it wasn’t a fantastic week of selections, we learned a lot last week. That’ll help moving forward. Here are my confidence picks for Week 2 of the NFL season.

NFL Confidence Pool Picks

(1) Patriots | Seahawks vs. Patriots

This could become a defensive battle, and with the Patriots at home, I’ll predict a harmless upset at my No. 1 spot.

(2) Cardinals | Rams vs. Cardinals

Arizona hung in against the Buffalo Bills on the road in Week 1. The defense struggled to contain Josh Allen but will have no issues containing Matthew Stafford.

(3) Saints | Saints vs. Cowboys

There’s plenty of talk about how great the Cowboys looked, while many analysts continue to point out that the Saints only played the Panthers. The Panthers are still an NFL team demolished by a prepared Saints squad in Week 1. Let’s chance it with an upset pick.

(4) Packers | Colts vs. Packers

If anyone can make Mailk Willis look good, it’s Matt Lefleur and the Packers’ offense.

(5) Commanders | Giants vs. Commanders

I’ll side with the Commanders in Week 2. However, this game will be closer than many think. The Giants will improve. Washington should still escape at home.

(6) Bills | Bills vs. Dolphins

Tyreek Hill’s incident will distract the Dolphins in a short week with this Thursday night matchup.

(7) 49ers | 49ers vs. Vikings

Yes, the Vikings played the Giants, but the defense looked really good. I’m still confident in San Francisco, but there are other games I’d rather put at a higher confidence level.

(8) Chiefs | Bengals vs. Chiefs

Yes, the Bengals looked horrible in Week 1. But that doesn’t mean they won’t improve and play better in Week 2. Kansas City should still get the win, but let’s not act like the Bengals are the worst team in the NFL just yet.

(9) Steelers | Steelers vs Broncos

If the Steelers don’t turn the ball over on offense, they’ll earn the win. Denver’s Bo Nix will ultimately make some mistakes under pressure against Pittsburgh’s pass rush and secondary.

(10) Jets | Jets vs. Titans

The Jets need to make many adjustments heading into Week 2. However, with a game against the Titans, it shouldn’t be too difficult.

(11) Jaguars | Browns vs. Jaguars

Deshaun Watson hasn’t looked like a star since he arrived in Cleveland. With a potential suspension incoming, don’t expect his play to improve anytime soon.

(12) Lions | Buccaneers vs. Lions

There won’t be many times this season when we’ll want to fade the Detroit Lions, especially at home. They could be this year’s best NFC team.

(13)  Eagles | Falcons vs. Eagles

The Falcons have much to clean up after their Week 1 loss to the Steelers, and it certainly won’t get easier against the Eagles in Week 2.

(14) Texans | Bears vs. Texans

Caleb Williams barely did anything good, and the Bears won Week 1. That said, Houston should produce much more offense, which would eventually help lead them to victory.

(15) Chargers | Chargers vs. Panthers

The Panthers will look fatigued against the Chargers, especially by the second half.

(16) Ravens | Raiders vs. Ravens

Baltimore is a 10-point favorite at home against the Raiders.
