NFL Week 2 Confidence Pool Picks & Predictions (2026)

In Week 1, we finished with a 9-5 record and earned 95 confidence points in ESPN’s Pick ’em challenge. That puts us in 23,820th place. Let’s try to improve on that ranking in Week 2. Below are my NFL Week 2 confidence pool picks.

NFL Week 2 Confidence Pool Picks

(1) Commanders | Commanders vs. Cowboys

This should be a tight, close NFC East battle. Neither the Cowboys nor the Commanders looked great in Week 1. That said, look for Jayden Daniels to perform much better against Dallas than he did against the Eagles.

(2) Steelers | Steelers vs. Patriots

Are we about to see a New England collapse this season after making the Super Bowl last year? All I know is that the Steelers’ defense will be ready for whatever Drake Maye brings to the table.

(3) Giants | Giants vs. Rams

I fear the Giants are still undervalued heading into Week 2.

(4) Bengals | Bengals vs. Texans

Both teams reached 30+ points in Week 1. However, this game will likely be more low-scoring. The Bengals have the more reliable offense right now.

(5) Jets | Packers vs. Jets

The Packers couldn’t protect Jordan Love last weekend. In addition, the running game was far from excellent without Josh Jacobs. Meanwhile, the Jets looked like a competent squad against the Titans and tackled extremely well. I’ll take my chances with the home team.

(6) Vikings vs. Bears | Vikings vs. Bears

I’m not betting on Carson Wentz to be a top-tier quarterback throughout the season. I will bet on Caleb Williams, though.

(7) Panthers | Panthers vs. Falcons

Carolina’s offense has improved a lot over the last couple of seasons. That’ll be the difference.

(8) Bills | Lions vs. Bills

The Lions and Bills both almost blew leads in the fourth quarter. Both prevailed, but I still think the Bills have more talent across the board and, obviously, the better quarterback.

(9) Jaguars | Jaguars vs. Broncos

After a pitiful performance on Monday Night Football, the Broncos will welcome the Jaguars to town with one less day to prepare. Denver’s defense didn’t look nearly as good as advertised. Give me Jacksonville.

(10) Seahawks | Seahawks vs. Cardinals

The Seahawks find ways to win. In a divisional matchup, they’ll be ready, even without Sam Darnold.

(11) Chargers | Chargers vs. Raiders

I’m not out on the Chargers. They have to put in extra work this week and prepare better. On paper, the Chargers are way better than Las Vegas.

(12) Chiefs | Colts vs. Chiefs

The Colts’ defense didn’t show up in Week 1. Don’t expect it to be any better against the Chiefs, who now have a wicked running game with Kenneth Walker III.

(13) Ravens | Saints vs. Ravens

The Saints earned a remarkable comeback against the Lions, but fell a little short. However, it took Tyler Shough an entire half to get cooking. I’m not buying the hype.

(14) Eagles | Eagles vs. Titans

The Titans are just a below-average squad with coaches that haven’t won in years.

(15) Buccaneers | Browns vs. Buccaneers

Could this be Deshaun Watson’s final game as a starter for Cleveland?

(16) 49ers | 49ers vs. Dolphins

Not only is San Francisco better, but the Niners will have much more time to prepare for this game than the Dolphins. That Melbourne win will help, too.
