NFL Week 2 Early Odds, Picks & Predictions (2022)

The NFL season is here!

If you felt like you missed out on some early lines in Week 1, we’ve got you covered for Week 2.

Here are three spots in the NFL where we see some early value. Lines will essentially change after Week 1 concludes, and we’re looking to be on the right side of those market shifts.

(Odds courtesy DraftKings)

Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs. New Orleans Saints

In 2021, the New Orleans Saints defeated the Tampa Bay Buccaneers twice. The Saints held on in the first game of the two, winning 36-27. Then on the road, the Saints defeated the Buccaneers 9-0.

There have been a lot of question marks about the Saints. But what if the Saints show growth in Week 1 offensively? Jameis Winston is back under center, Alvin Kamara wasn’t suspended and Michael Thomas is back on the field. Also, the Saints signed Jarvis Landry in the offseason and added Chris Olave in the draft at wide receiver. A lot can go right for this offense, and we know what the New Orleans’ defense is capable of.

The Saints get the Falcons in Week 1, while the Buccaneers will play the Cowboys. There’s a much better chance that the Saints end up with a Week 1 victory while the Buccaneers don’t. If that’s the case, the Saints won’t be +160 at home in Week 2.

Bet: Saints (+160 at DraftKings

Cincinnati Bengals vs. Dallas Cowboys

The Dallas Cowboys are hoping to have Michael Gallup in Week 1. But it doesn’t look too promising. They’ll likely have to stick with Jalen Tolbert as the second wide receiver. If Gallup has a setback and Tolbert doesn’t make an impact, the Cowboys could struggle in the passing game.

It seems likely that Gallup will be back in Week 2, but having him back probably doesn’t change much in Week 2 since he hasn’t played any real snaps since last season.

The Bengals might be on the road, but Cincinnati made the Super Bowl last year. They’ve got the confidence, and they’ve also added depth to their offensive line. Eventually, the Bengals could become a pick-em against the Cowboys on the road. I’d grab them now before it gets to that point.

Bet: Bengals (+110 at DraftKings)

Arizona Cardinals vs. Las Vegas Raiders

The Arizona Cardinals are waiting on Zach Ertz and Rondale Moore to get healthy on the offensive side. The Cardinals are already without DeAndre Hopkins for six games.

But if Ertz and Moore play and make a real impact for the Cardinals in their potential shootout against the Chiefs, this total for the Cardinals and Raiders game could shoot up. The Cardinals are expected to be one of the fastest offenses in the league and should move the ball quickly throughout the season with the playmakers they have.

Meanwhile, the Raiders will likely play in a shootout against the Chargers in Week 1. When both of these offenses light it up in Week 1, the total in Week 2 will jump. Get on it now.

Bet: Over 51  (-110 at DraftKings)
