After two weeks, we’re at 16-14 with just 166 points. Week 2 was killer, but we’ve got plenty of time to get back on track for Week 3. Below are my NFL Week 3 confidence pool picks.

NFL Week 3 Confidence Pool Picks
(1) Jets | Jets vs. Lions
I’m not sold on the Lions. The secondary has been awful, and the run defense has still allowed over 115 yards per game this season. On the other hand, the Jets rank first in the NFL in yards allowed per game, giving up just 197 yards.
(2) Colts | Texans vs. Colts
Neither team is expected to be 0-2 to begin the season. That said, if I’ve got to pick a team to win this one, I’ll take the home team. The Indianapolis defense should improve against Houston.
(3) Patriots | Patriots vs. Jaguars
The Patriots proved themselves last weekend against the Pittsburgh Steelers. They’ll be fine.
(4) Rams | Rams vs. Broncos
The Rams lucked out with Jaxson Dart and others getting injured. But in addition to the injuries, Aaron Donald made a strong impact, and Davante Adams looked like he was back in his prime. With Puka Nacua likely back, the Rams look great.
(5) Panthers | Panthers vs. Browns
Few offenses are performing better than the Carolina Panthers right now. Cleveland, even at home, likely won’t keep up.
(6) Cowboys | Ravens vs. Cowboys
The Ravens need to get healthy at the wide receiver position before anything else.
(7) Giants | Titans vs. Giants
I think we’ll see major improvement from Jamesis Winston after a full week of QB1 reps.
(8) Saints | Raiders vs. Saints
A few weeks ago, we all marked this game as a dud. Now it has potential playoff implications in Week 3. Anyway, I’m on the Tyler Shough train. He’s got it.
(9) Vikings | Vikings vs. Buccaneers
With Kyler Murray back, the Vikings are improving their roster after already being 2-0. I’m over the Baker Mayfield experience.
(10) Bengals | Bengals vs. Steelers
Joe Burrow connected with Ja’Marr Chase multiple times in the end zone last week. This offense is still dangerous, and the defense is much improved from last season.
(11) Packers | Falcons vs. Packers
The Falcons will start Michael Penix Jr., but don’t get it twisted: the Falcons never wanted him to be the franchise guy and didn’t trust him to be that guy.
(12) Bills | Chargers vs. Bills
The Chargers might be more competitive after a 0-2 start, but it still won’t be enough against the Bills.
(13) 49ers | Cardinals vs. 49ers
The 49ers are crushing it on offense to begin the season. They’ve scored 62 points in two games and have easily been one of the most consistent teams on that side of the ball.
(14) Seahawks | Seahawks vs. Commanders
Whether it’s Drew Lock or Sam Darnold, it really doesn’t matter. I’m not picking a Marcus Mariota-led team.
(15) Eagles | Eagles vs. Bears
There’s a legitimate chance Case Keenum will start for the Bears on Monday Night Football.
(16) Chiefs | Chiefs vs. Dolphins
This is the classic game between the worst football team and the best football team.
