Although Week 2 hasn’t started yet, I’m already looking ahead to Week 3 of the NFL season. I’ll try to predict Week 2 to lock in better odds and positive expected value for Week 3. Let’s get after it with our best lookahead bets for Week 3.

Best NFL Week 3 Lookahead Bets

Kansas City Chiefs vs. Miami Dolphins
The Kansas City Chiefs ran all over the mighty Denver Broncos’ defense. They’ll likely have no problem doing the same against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 2. If anything, Patrick Mahomes will likely improve his passing numbers and complete more passes.
On the other hand, the Miami Dolphins struggled against the Las Vegas Raiders and have the San Francisco 49ers on the road in Week 2. It won’t get any easier for the Dolphins, who are likely the worst team in the NFL.
If the Chiefs dominate the Colts and the Dolphins lose on the road to the 49ers, I wouldn’t be surprised if the Chiefs become close to 10-point favorites. Ultimately, I’d expect this game to be a blowout, even with the Chiefs on the road.
Give me the Chiefs -8.5.

Tennessee Titans vs. New York Giants
I’ll fall for it.
The New York Giants look legit.
And with Myles Garrett out and Matthew Stafford not looking nearly as good as last season, I’ve got the G-Men pulling off an upset on Monday Night Football against the Los Angeles Rams in Week 2.
Meanwhile, the Titans are at home against the Philadelphia Eagles. They performed so poorly against the Jets that they’re already 7-point underdogs at home. With the Titans losing to the Eagles and the Giants pulling off a huge upset win on Monday Night Football, the Giants’ line will increase.
There’s going to be a lot of comparison in this matchup. It’s Cam Ward against Jaxson Dart. That’s two young quarterbacks, but Ward was drafted before Dart.
Dart has seemingly taken the leap. Ward hasn’t. Ultimately, this could be a Brian Daboll problem. He was a head coach for the Giants and got good play out of Dart. The problem was that Dart was a bit too reckless under Daboll. In Week 1, Dart seemed to understand game situations better.
Ward, in Week 1 this year under Daboll, really didn’t. I’ll lock in the Giants -5.5.
