Early NFL Week 4 Picks

Los Angeles Rams vs. Philadelphia Eagles
The Rams and Eagles both suffered dramatic losses in Week 3 primetime football.
The Rams blew a 16-point lead and made some brutal mistakes late in the game. Meanwhile, the Eagles were never really in it against Case Keenum and the Bears on Monday Night Football.
Unless there’s a tie, one team has to win and get back on track in Week 4.
At home, I’ll back the Eagles.
The Eagles just played two back-to-back road games and will now get the Rams in front of their home crowd. Jalen Hurts still has fewer interceptions than Matthew Stafford this season, and Saquon Barkley hasn’t reached his peak yet.
Meanwhile, it’s looking like Puka Nacua is about to miss another week for the Rams. Davante Adams has stepped up, but the passing game still lacks one of the best receivers in the game.
The Eagles have to commit to the run against the Rams early. If they can do that, they’ll be in the game late and potentially pull away with the win.
Pick: Eagles +3 (-110)
Jacksonville Jaguars vs. Cincinnati Bengals
The Bengals lost a heartbreaker to the Pittsburgh Steelers on the road last week. The offense added over 350 yards in eight drives, but the 27 points scored weren’t enough. Cincinnati’s defense has looked pretty good to start the season, despite the 30 points allowed to the Steelers.
Aaron Rodgers was 19-of-34 and had one interception with two sacks. He also added three passing touchdowns, and the run game behind Jaylen Warren went off. That said, expect the Bengals to perform better at home.
They’ll face the Jaguars, who have played slightly better to start the year. Still, it’s too early to say the Jaguars are a contender. With wins over the Browns, Broncos and a not-great Patriots team, I’m not jumping on the bandwagon yet.
The defense is still struggling a bit in coverage, and the Bengals can capitalize.
