Los Angeles Chargers at New York Giants
- Leg 1: Jaxson Dart Over 34.5 Rushing Yards (-109)
- Leg 2: Cam Skattebo 70+ Rushing + Receiving Yards (-186)
- Leg 3: Omarion Hampton 60+ Rushing Yards (-146)
After three games of the Russell Wilson experience, the Giants have made the switch to Jaxson Dart as the starting quarterback for Week 4. It's a tough matchup right away with the Chargers coming to town. One thing the rookie should do, though, is use his legs.
Dart racked up 1,500 rushing yards across his three college seasons as a starter. Last year, he averaged 38.1 rushing yards per game at Ole Miss. We know he can run, and the Giants have already tried using him a couple of times in that role this season. Whether it's on designed carries or scrambles, Dart should be active rushing-wise.
How about another Giants rookie? Cam Skattebo is now the guy in the backfield with Tyrone Tracy Jr. out. In an expanded role last week, Skattebo put up 121 total yards on 16 touches. That included 61 receiving yards on six catches. He should find space in the run game on run-pass options (RPOs) with Dart and have a role as a pass-catcher on dump-offs from the young quarterback.
On the Chargers' side of things, rookie Omarion Hampton now steps into the clear lead back role with Najee Harris out for the season. He was already getting the majority of snaps and carries, but Harris will no longer cut into that usage. Hampton just put up 129 total yards on 25 touches last week. It's tough to see Los Angeles going away from him.
Parlay Odds: +375
Carolina Panthers at New England Patriots
(Odds courtesy of BetMGM)
- Leg 1: Hunter Henry Over 36.5 Receiving Yards (-110)
- Leg 2: Chuba Hubbard Under 56.5 Rushing Yards (-110)
- Leg 3: Bryce Young Over 208.5 Passing Yards (-115)
The Panthers have allowed the most receiving yards to tight ends this season. That includes giving up 74 yards per game. It puts Hunter Henry in a great spot after he just went for 90 yards on eight receptions last week. The Patriots tight end has a clear rapport with Drake Maye. Just as he did last year, Henry leads the team in catches, yards and targets thus far.
New England boasts one of the best run defenses right now, allowing the second-fewest rushing yards through three games. They're also holding running backs to just 49 rush yards per game. It's a tough spot for Chuba Hubbard, who's averaging just 3.9 yards per carry. He had 73 rushing yards last week, but the favorable game script helped a lot. Hubbard was held to 38 and 57 yards in the two games prior.
On the other hand, the Patriots have allowed the fourth-most passing yards to opposing quarterbacks this season. The defense is shutting down the run and forcing teams to the air. Bryce Young will likely need to throw much more than he did last week, when he had just 121 passing yards on 24 attempts. In the game before, Carolina's quarterback threw for 328 yards on 55 attempts.
Parlay Odds: +400
Philadelphia Eagles at Tampa Bay Buccaneers
- Leg 1: First Half Under 23.5 Points (-167)
- Leg 2: Emeka Egbuka 60+ Receiving Yards (-124)
- Leg 3: Saquon Barkley 15+ Receiving Yards (-121)
A pair of 3-0 teams meet up in this NFC showdown. Even with offensive playmakers on both sides, the defenses should set the tone early and keep this one lower-scoring in the first half. Philadelphia's offense looked lifeless in the first half last week before turning the game around. It's worth betting on another slow start from an Eagles offense that's been inconsistent this season. Plus, finding a rhythm on the road could take time.
Meanwhile, the Tampa Bay offense received a tough blow this past week with Mike Evans injuring his hamstring. It leaves Emeka Egbuka and Bucky Irving as the only trustworthy playmakers in the Bucs' attack right now. Philly's defense should key in on those two early and force Baker Mayfield to make tougher throws.
As noted, Egbuka steps into a bigger role with Evans out. The rookie is already building chemistry with Mayfield, and the duo connected for 85 yards on six receptions and eight targets last week. Slot-type receivers like Egbuka have crushed the Eagles this year. CeeDee Lamb went for 110 yards in Week 1, and Puka Nacua had 112 yards last week.
The Bucs' defense has allowed 214 receiving yards to running backs this season, the second-most in the NFL. This was the case last year as Tampa gave up the fifth-most receiving yards to running backs. This is a matchup where Saquon Barkley should have a bigger role as a receiver. On that note, he had 32 receiving yards last year in this game. Barkley doesn't have a huge role as a pass-catcher in the Eagles' offense, but the matchup could dictate differently.
Parlay Odds: +435
Washington Commanders at Atlanta Falcons
- Leg 1: Falcons Team Total Over 20.5 Points (-135)
- Leg 2: Michael Penix Jr. 230+ Passing Yards (+106)
- Leg 3: Drake London 70+ Receiving Yards (-103)
The Falcons are coming off an embarrassing 30-0 loss against the Panthers last week. There's only one way to go from there. So, let's count on a bounce-back effort as the Falcons return home to play in their friendly indoor confines.
Atlanta's offense actually moved the ball well on some drives last week. Yet, two missed field goals and three turnovers helped contribute to the shutout. Remember, the Falcons scored 22 points on the road at Minnesota two weeks ago and put up 358 total yards of offense against Tampa Bay in Week 1.
Michael Penix Jr. should lead the way with a rebound performance of his own. He just had the worst game of his pro career, throwing for 172 yards with two interceptions and a 50% completion rate. Things should come easier at home against a Washington secondary that's allowed 289 and 292 yards in the past two games to Geno Smith and Jordan Love, respectively.
Let's stick with the Falcons' passing attack and back Drake London to get going. He's averaging just 53 receiving yards per game, with no more than 55 in any week so far. It's a good buy-low time, though, for a receiver who still has a team-high 27 targets on the year. Plus, Washington has allowed 100+ yards to an opposing pass-catcher in back-to-back games. London could be next, considering he had 106 yards against the Commanders last season.
Parlay Odds: +305
Cleveland Browns at Detroit Lions
- Leg 1: Jahmyr Gibbs Under 63.5 Rushing Yards (-111)
- Leg 2: Quinshon Judkins 50+ Rushing Yards (-190)
- Leg 3: David Njoku Over 37.5 Receiving Yards (-109)
In case you haven't heard, the Cleveland run defense is legit. The Browns are allowing a league-low 57.3 rushing yards per game. That includes only 42.7 yards per game allowed to running backs. They also lead the NFL in total defense, for what it's worth.
It's a tough matchup, even for the Lions' vaunted run game. This game could suit David Montgomery's physical run style more, which would cap Jahmyr Gibbs' usage and overall production. Yards should be tough to come by anyway. The Browns have held Derrick Henry and Josh Jacobs to 23 and 30 yards, respectively, in the past two weeks.
In the Browns' offense, rookie Quinshon Judkins has quickly taken over the lead-back role after missing Week 1. He ran for 61 yards on 10 carries two games ago, and then he just racked up 94 yards on 18 attempts last week. It's hard to imagine that usage goes away, since Judkins has been so productive.
Let's finish off the parlay with David Njoku. The Lions just allowed 91 yards on six catches to Ravens tight end Mark Andrews. Hopefully, the Browns were watching and will use Njoku accordingly. The veteran has 37, 40 and 40 receiving yards in the first three games with 18 total targets. He's one of Joe Flacco's favorite pass-catchers right now. The expected game script should result in enough targets for Njoku in this matchup.
Parlay Odds: +385
Tennessee Titans at Houston Texans
- Leg 1: Texans Team Total Over 22.5 Points (-130)
- Leg 2: Nick Chubb 50+ Rushing Yards (-124)
- Leg 3: Nico Collins 70+ Receiving Yards (-125)
Houston's offense has been a massive disappointment to start the season. The Texans are averaging a league-low 12.7 points per game, while ranking 31st in total yards per game. Yet, this is a matchup where Houston can get going offensively back at home. Tennessee is giving up 31.3 points per game (third-most in the NFL), including 74 total points allowed to the Colts and Rams over the past two weeks.
The Titans have allowed the third-most rushing yards this season. They gave up 151 rushing yards to the Broncos in Week 1, then 149 to the Rams and 137 to the Colts in the past two games. Look for Houston to lean on the ground game via Nick Chubb in this matchup.
Chubb is averaging just 47 rushing yards per game over the first three weeks. He's also been inefficient in running the ball more often than not. Yet, the matchup points to Chubb having some success on the ground. Just hope that Woody Marks doesn't eat into his carries too much.
Top wide receivers have also done damage against the Titans this season. The Tennessee secondary has allowed Courtland Sutton (61 yards), Davante Adams (106), Puka Nacua (91) and Michael Pittman Jr. (73) to be productive over the first three games. It sets up well for Nico Collins, who broke out for 104 yards on eight catches last week.
Parlay Odds: +370
New Orleans Saints at Buffalo Bills
- Leg 1: Bills -3.5 First-Quarter Spread (-122)
- Leg 2: James Cook 70+ Rushing Yards (-145)
- Leg 3: Juwan Johnson 40+ Receiving Yards (-151)
Unsurprisingly, the 3-0 Bills are massive home favorites against the 0-3 Saints this week. Instead of worrying about the full-game spread, let's just focus on the first quarter. Count on Buffalo to start fast and build an early lead.
The Bills are averaging eight points in the first quarter this season (fourth in the NFL). They've also been in the top 10 of first-quarter scoring every year since 2019. Scoring early is what Josh Allen and this offense do regularly. On the flip side, the Saints have been outscored 30-0 in the first quarter this season.
As the Bills get going early, we should see a ton of James Cook carries in the second half. Cook had a quiet Week 1, but he's woken up with 100+ rushing yards in back-to-back games. The game script sets up well for Buffalo to feed Cook and run the clock with a comfortable lead.
If you've read this article at all in the first three weeks, you know we're going right back to Juwan Johnson's receiving yards prop. The Saints’ tight end has a team-high 176 receiving yards this season. Plus, his 19 catches and 28 targets are second only to Chris Olave. We've seen Johnson go for 76, 49 and 51 yards in the first three games. He should get to 40+ once again, especially since New Orleans will be trailing and throwing plenty.
Parlay Odds: +370
Indianapolis Colts at Los Angeles Rams
- Leg 1: Over 49.5 Total Points (-115)
- Leg 2: Puka Nacua 80+ Receiving Yards (-163)
- Leg 3: Tyler Warren 50+ Receiving Yards (-113)
Just as we all expected, the Colts' offense looks unstoppable this season. Indy is averaging 34.3 points (third in the NFL) and 418.7 total yards per game (second in the NFL). Plus, the offense has punted only once in three games. The Colts likely see negative regression offensively at some point, but they can keep it going in a possible shootout with the Rams.
As for Los Angeles, it'll try to turn the page after blowing a big lead in Philadelphia last week. The offense was clicking early with 26 points in the first half and change, but then the Eagles' defense woke up. The Rams' offense should have success back at home this week. This is still an attack that ranks fifth in total yards per game this season.
Puka Nacua continues to play a huge role in the Rams' offense. He's now put up 130, 91 and 112 receiving yards over the first three games. He's also racked up 29 receptions on 35 targets already. Bank on the Matthew Stafford-Puka Nacua connection continuing this week in a likely back-and-forth, higher-scoring contest.
On the Indianapolis side of things, rookie tight end Tyler Warren will be a weekly choice when it comes to player props. He's quickly emerged as a favorite target for Daniel Jones, alongside Michael Pittman Jr., in the passing game. Warren's 21 targets lead the team, and his 193 receiving yards are tied with Pittman for the team lead. Warren only had 38 yards last week, but that was in a blowout win where the Colts led comfortably throughout. He should be more involved here.
Parlay Odds: +375
Jacksonville Jaguars at San Francisco 49ers
- Leg 1: 49ers -3.5 Alt Spread (-102)
- Leg 2: Christian McCaffery 110+ Rushing + Receiving Yards (-195)
- Leg 3: Brian Thomas Jr. 60+ Receiving Yards (-115)
The 49ers are off to a 3-0 start after squeaking out a 16-15 victory over Arizona last week. Meanwhile, the Jaguars are 2-1 after getting past the Texans in Week 3. Neither team is likely to be as good as their current records, but something has to give in this matchup.
Let's side with the home Niners to win by more than three points. Jacksonville is in prime letdown/lookahead potential here after beating division rival Houston last week, before hosting the Chiefs on Monday Night Football next up. In between is this cross-conference game. Plus, it's a tough travel spot with a Florida team going to the West Coast.
Brock Purdy may be back for San Francisco this week. Whether it's him or Mac Jones under center, though, we can count on Christian McCaffrey getting a ton of touches. The 49ers are giving him all we can handle right now, and he's producing. McCaffrey is averaging 25.7 touches and 129.7 total yards per game so far. He also has 100+ combined rushing and receiving yards in each game.
For the Jaguars, it's a good buy-low time for Brian Thomas Jr. The second-year wideout is off to a slow start with just seven catches and 115 yards through three games. However, he's still been targeted a team-high 25 times. Trevor Lawrence and Thomas will get into sync eventually. The 60+ yards line is something Thomas reached in 12 out of 17 games last year while averaging 75.4 yards per game.
Parlay Odds: +390
Baltimore Ravens at Kansas City Chiefs
- Leg 1: Over 48.5 Total Points (-115)
- Leg 2: Travis Kelce 40+ Receiving Yards (-117)
- Leg 3: Lamar Jackson 50+ Rushing Yards (+102)
It's hard to believe that the Ravens and Chiefs are both 1-2 to begin this season. That means the loser of this matchup will already have three losses heading into Week 5. Instead of picking a side, let's just grab the over and root for a back-and-forth shootout.
Baltimore's defense is allowing a league-high 415 total yards per game while giving up 32 points per game (31st in the NFL). The Bills (41 points) and Lions (38) both had plenty of offensive success against the Ravens, and the Chiefs can follow suit. Kansas City’s offense started to find some rhythm last week after looking out of sorts in Weeks 1 and 2. Yes, it came against the lowly Giants, but maybe it awakens Patrick Mahomes and Co.
On the other side, the Baltimore offense hasn't been the problem. The Ravens are still averaging a league-best 37 points per game this season. Their offense can set the tone for a high-scoring game on the road and force Mahomes to keep pace. Notably, four of the last six meetings between Baltimore and Kansas City have hit the over, with an average of 51.8 combined points per game.
If we're banking on a shootout, Lamar Jackson will surely be involved. He's previously looked to run in these matchups against the Chiefs. In six career games against Kansas City, Jackson is averaging 79.8 rushing yards per contest. That includes 122 yards against the Chiefs in Week 1 of last year. He's bound to rebound as a runner after being held to 35 and 13 rushing yards in the past two games.
For the Chiefs, let's go with another star in Travis Kelce. The Ravens have allowed the second-most receiving yards to tight ends this season. It's an ideal matchup for Kelce, who only had 26 yards last week. He's shown up for these games against Baltimore, averaging 83.6 receiving yards per game in seven career meetings. He also has at least 73 yards in six of those games.
Parlay Odds: +480
Chicago Bears at Las Vegas Raiders
- Leg 1: Rome Odunze Over 63.5 Receiving Yards (-115)
- Leg 2: Ashton Jeanty 60+ Rushing Yards (-156)
- Leg 3: Jakobi Meyers 60+ Receiving Yards (-146)
Caleb Williams and the Chicago offense finally got going last week against Dallas. Let's hope it continues with Rome Odunze playing a key role. The second-year wideout has been a favorite option for Williams in the passing game. His 27 targets and 227 receiving yards both lead the team by sizable margins. Odunze has 128 and 62 yards in the past two games, and now faces a Raiders secondary that's allowed the third-most receiving yards to wide receivers this season.
For the Raiders, Ashton Jeanty has been quiet to begin his rookie campaign. The Las Vegas back has just 144 rushing yards while averaging 3.1 yards per carry through three games. He started to wake up last week, though, with 63 rushing yards.
Jeanty can have success on the ground this week against a Bears run defense that's allowed the second-most rushing yards to running backs so far. Chicago has also given up at least 68 yards to an opposing back in all three games. It's at least encouraging to see Vegas give Jeanty 17 carries last week and 21 touches in Week 1, so we know the volume should be there.
Tre Tucker may have exploded for the Raiders last week, but Jakobi Meyers is still the top receiver in this offense. His 228 yards, 17 receptions and 26 targets all lead the team as a favorite target for Geno Smith right now. Meyers gets a good home matchup, with Chicago allowing the fifth-most receiving yards to opposing wideouts this year.
