Denver Broncos vs. Los Angeles Chargers

Before the season began, the Chargers would’ve been nearly 3-point favorites. Instead, they’re sitting at +3.5 at home against the Denver Broncos, who are 0-2 on the road.

Ultimately, the Broncos have struggled in the tackling department and haven’t looked elite in run defense or in coverage. Their secondary is super banged up. Ladd McConkey did absolutely nothing last week and left the game in the third quarter with a foot injury, but I’d like to imagine he’ll come through a full week of practice for Week 5.

The Chargers haven’t won a game yet, but the last two games were one-possession games. Justin Herbert has to improve, and so does his offensive line’s pass blocking. That’s the Chargers’ main concern. But other than that, at home, I’ll grab the Chargers at +3.5 all day.

If we’re being honest, minus a few more interceptions, Herbert and Bo Nix have both played below average.

    Pick: Chargers +3.5 (-110)

    Baltimore Ravens vs. Atlanta Falcons

Right now, the Baltimore Ravens aren’t sure if Lamar Jackson will play on Sunday against the Atlanta Falcons. The Ravens have moved from -4.5 to -2.5, but they’re still road favorites against a very impressive Atlanta squad.

The Falcons are 2-0 behind Michael Penix Jr., and Bijan Robinson has been absolutely electric during this stretch. The Falcons have added 80 points in their last two games since Penix returned to action.

That said, if Jackson can’t play for the Ravens, Tyler Huntley will get the nod. He’s a veteran quarterback who can do similar things to Jackson, just at a lower level. Still, if I can grab the Falcons at home as underdogs facing Huntley, I’ll do it every time.

The Falcons have a terrific pass rush that should disrupt Huntley’s rhythm. Even if Jackson starts for the Ravens, he won’t be at 100%. He was seen in a walking boot after Sunday’s game.

I’m on the Falcons +2.5. If you’re brave, the Falcons on the Moneyline isn’t so bad, either.

    Pick: Falcons +2.5 (-115)
