New York Giants vs. Houston Texans
The Houston Texans will be in London to face the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 6. They’re 1-4, and their only win came against the Tennessee Titans, which isn’t anything to get excited about.
Yes, the Texans added Marvin Harrison Jr. That’s good. He’s got a great connection with C.J. Stroud from their time together in college and could potentially break out. But it won’t happen overnight. It’ll be super tough to beat the Jaguars. Even if the Texans win, it’ll likely be a close, competitive game.
On the other hand, the Giants are at home against the New Orleans Saints this weekend. New York is a slight underdog, but is still 3-0 at home this season. If the Giants beat the Saints, it’s unlikely you’ll see +7 for the Giants once Week 7 rolls around.
Jameis Winston has been up-and-down, but Malik Nabers and Isaiah Likely are legitimate targets who are putting up absurd numbers lately. Give me the Giants +7. I wouldn’t even be shocked if the Giants won outright.
Pick: Giants +7 (-105)
Los Angeles Rams vs. Las Vegas Raiders
The Rams host the lowly Arizona Cardinals in Week 6. They’ll most certainly get back on track after a deflating loss to the Buffalo Bills on primetime last weekend. The Rams are legitimately 12.5-point favorites.
On the other hand, the Raiders are at home against the Buffalo Bills. The Raiders had a fun start to the season, but reality kicked in last week. Things got so bad that they played Fernando Mendoza late in the fourth quarter because the game against the Patriots got so out of hand.
It’s never easy to play the Raiders in Allegiant Stadium. But the Rams are better in almost every area. The biggest one is the secondary. The Raiders have a 41.5 Pro Football Focus (PFF) coverage grade. That’s one of the worst grades in the NFL, and they’ll have to face Puka Nacua and Davante Adams.
The Rams are currently -7 for their upcoming Week 7 contest. I wouldn’t be surprised if this moved to Rams -8 or even Rams -8.5 by the time the game kicks off.
Pick: Rams -7 (-105)
