NFL Week 8 Odds, Picks & Predictions: Cardinals vs. Vikings

Arizona HC Kliff Kingsbury has excelled on the road in his Arizona tenure. The Cardinals have a 19-7-2 record ATS since his arrival in 2019, and fading the Cardinals in this spot is not for the faint of heart. However, such a trend cannot be viewed as blind reasoning to back Arizona in this spot. The Cardinals offense has been dreadful, and the team’s success versus New Orleans shouldn’t be interpreted as an indication of renewed efficiency for the unit.

The Cardinals currently rank 26th in Weighted Offensive DVOA, and are a middling unit in terms of Offensive EPA / Play. The re-integration of WR Deandre Hopkins was/is crucial to this team, but I’m still reluctant to assume his presence has solved any underlying issues. At the risk of getting burned by Arizona on the road, back the better team in Minnesota.
