NFL Week 8 Odds, Picks & Predictions: Patriots vs. Jets

Coming off four straight wins, the Jets host the Patriots in a grueling AFC East showdown. The Jets have been one of the biggest surprises this year with a 5-2 record, but interestingly a 1-2 record at home. They have wins against the Browns, the Steelers, the Dolphins (without Tua), the Packers, and now the Broncos (without Wilson). Combined, those teams are 13-22. They are coming off a hard-fought 16-9 win at Denver, but not without a major loss at the running-back position with Breece Hall tearing his ACL.

Let’s not take away from what the Jets have done thus far. It’s been impressive. But now they face a divisional foe in Belichick coming off a home loss. Early, a majority of the public is already betting the Jets. Look for the Patriots to get right, and the Jets to take a step backward.
