NFL Week 9 Confidence Pool Picks & Predictions (2024)
After a terrific start to the year, we’ve had a few down weeks with our confidence pool picks and predictions.
Last week, our picks went 11-5. However, the Ravens’ loss at 15 confidence was a stinger. We’re sitting at 75-48 and rank 20,122 on ESPN. That’s good for the 77.5 percentile with 666 points.
Let’s see if we can improve the rank heading into Week 9.
NFL Confidence Pool Picks
(1) Jets | Texans vs. Jets
I’m afraid the Texans won’t protect C.J. Stroud enough. I’m also scared the Jets will play poorly like they’ve done all year. So this will be a one-point confident selection with the Jets.
(2) Browns | Chargers vs. Browns
It’s incredible how much a veteran quarterback like Winston can rejuvenate a team.
(3) Falcons | Cowboys vs. Falcons
Dallas continues to find themselves down by multiple scores in the second half. They make it impossible to earn comebacks!
(4) Titans | Patriots vs. Titans
For one, it looks like Will Levis is back. Secondly, I still don’t trust Jacoby Brissett despite his game-winning drive over the Jets. There’s a reason he was benched. (He’ll play if Drake Maye is out with a concussion.)
Thanks to some rest, I’ll test my luck behind Will Levis. Maybe he’ll be reset and ready to go.
(5) Ravens | Broncos vs. Ravens
Baltimore already has two odd losses against bad opponents. Don’t be surprised if Denver keeps this game close. Baltimore has the best offense in the AFC, but I’m not confident in its defense.
(6) Seahawks | Rams vs. Seahawks
This seems like a quality bounceback game for Geno Smith, who I’ve never seen as mad during a game as last week.
(7) Lions | Lions vs. Packers
We’ll score a lot of points in this game, which probably favors the Lions, even on the road.
(8) Saints | Saints vs. Panthers
Derek Carr’s return should propel the Saints over the Panthers.
(9) Cardinals | Bears vs. Cardinals
I’m not high on Caleb Williams. He put together a quality drive against Washington at the end of the game but was nowhere to be found in the first three quarters.
(10) Vikings | Colts vs. Vikings
Indianapolis made the right decision benching Anthony Richardson. So now I’d be slightly concerned with the Vikings, but at home, with how they’ve been playing, I’ll keep them at 10.
(11) Chiefs | Buccaneers vs. Chiefs
This could be a quality breakout game from Patrick Mahomes.
(12) Eagles | Eagles vs. Jaguars
The Eagles are starting to play complete football after their road win against the Bengals last week.
(13) Bills | Dolphins vs. Bills
The Bills have the best game plan against Tua Tagovailoa. They shut him down every time.
(14) Bengals | Raiders vs. Bengals
Every game from here on out is a must-win game for the Bengals.
(15) Commanders | Commanders vs. Giants
New York’s inept around the red zone.
