NFL Week 9 Confidence Pool Picks
(1) Falcons | Bengals vs. Falcons
Is anyone worried about how poorly the Bengals have started their last couple of games? I am.
(2) Panthers | Broncos vs. Panthers
The Panthers have extra time to prepare for a Broncos team that earned an emotional win against the Chiefs last week.
(3) Saints | Browns vs. Saints
Deshaun Watson is becoming the below-average quarterback we all expected.
(4) Packers | Packers vs. Patriots
The Packers have won four of their last five games. That one loss was by three points.
(5) Bills | Bills vs. Vikings
Minnesota can’t keep winning one-score games. The road loss to the Lions proved that.
(6) Giants | Giants vs. Eagles
New York now has a quarterback who fits its system. That’s dangerous.
(7) Rams | Rams vs. Commanders
The Rams aren’t what we expected. But I’ll take them every time against the Commanders.
(8) Texans | Texans vs. Chargers
Just say it’s Mike McDaniel’s fault. It is. The Chargers forgot how to play offense. That’s bad news against Houston’s defense.
(9) Cowboys | Cowboys vs. Colts
The Colts are in the midst of a fire sale. The team is planting its rebuild.
(10) 49ers | Raiders vs. 49ers
Las Vegas showed up against the Jets. But the 49ers aren’t the same level of competition.
(11) Jaguars | Jaguars vs. Ravens
Let’s pause on adding the Jaguars at the top of the confidence list. We saw what happened with Tampa Bay a few weeks ago behind Jalon Daniels. That said, the Jaguars should suffocate Baltimore on defense.
(12) Chiefs | Jets vs. Chiefs
It’s one of the worst franchises in the last decade against one of the best.
(13) Lions | Lions vs. Dolphins
The Dolphins just don’t have enough offensive firepower to keep up.
(14) Bears | Buccaneers vs. Bears
The sky is the limit for the Bears. They played a complete game on primetime against the Seahawks and don’t look like they’re slowing down any time soon.
(15) Seahawks | Cardinals vs. Seahawks
The Cardinals are underrated, but I expect the Seahawks to bounce back big time at home this weekend.
