Buffalo Sabres (+205) vs. Toronto Maple Leafs (-25) | O/U 6.5 (-168/+136)

In the last matchup, it was all Leafs as they scored the first five goals and coasted to a 6-3 victory.

The Buffalo has an outstanding offense. I’ll take Tage Thompson, Alex Tuch, and Jeff Skinner as a top line over most teams, but while the forwards are great, the defense has been awful.

The goaltending has cost this team many wins, and just over their last seven, they’ve given up five, seven, and even ten goals in a game.

I’m not a mathematician, but I believe Boston would have to lose all of their games, Toronto would have to win all of theirs, and maybe play some extra ones to finish first in the Atlantic. They have played well recently and have climbed over Florida and Tampa Bay to grab second place In the division.

My favorite play is the over at -168, which might not be enough juice for you can squeeze. I will sprinkle a half unit on the Leafs puck line, but for this article, your best bet is the over.

Pick: Over 6.5 (-168)

Colorado Avalanche (-275) vs. Montreal Canadiens (+220) | O/U 6.5 (-104/-118)

The Central is a tight race that might come down to the wire. These last couple of weeks are important to the defending champions because they’re just a point behind Winnipeg, and it could be the difference between third place or the last Wild Card.

Alexander Georgiev has been inconsistent in the last few games. Simply put, he’s been good against bad offenses and awful against better ones.

The offense has significantly dipped from last year. They lost Nazem Kadri and Andre Burakovsky In the offseason, Cale Makar and Valeri Nichushkin have missed time, and Gabriel Landeskog has yet to step on the ice. Nathan MacKinnon and Mikko Rantanen are the offense with a combination of 70 goals and 155 points.

The Canadiens are in a complete rebuild, but they have some pieces to build on.

Nick Suzuki was well-deserving of an All-Star appearance with 49 points, Kirby Dach has set career highs this season, and hopefully, they’ll have Cole Caufield at the start of next season. Maybe a guy named Connor Bedard could put them in the right direction.

The Avs have an advantage on each side of the puck and should roll in this game.

Pick: Avalanche -1.5 (-110)

Dallas Stars (-122) vs. Seattle Kraken (+102) | O/U 6.5 (+110/-134)

Every game for the Stars is important down the stretch. They could finish first and play a Wild Card team or fall to second and even lose home-ice advantage. After dropping six of seven, they’ve won four of their last five, including Saturday against Seattle.

The Kraken couldn’t hold off the 6-v-5 shorthand in the last minute as Dallas tied it up and eventually won in overtime.

It will be interesting to see who gets the start between the pipes for Seattle. Dave Hakstol has favored Philipp Grubauer over Martin Jones recently, but Grubauer has struggled in his last two outings.

Regardless of who’s in the crease for either team, this matchup should be like the last one, where we saw each offense shine in the previous 40 minutes.

Pick: Over 6.5 (+110)
