Monday’s Best NBA PrizePicks Bets
Here are the best PrizePicks plays for NBA action on Monday, March 13.
*Note* All plays have been written the night prior.
Jaren Jackson Jr Over 19.5 Points
Fading the Mavericks with Brandon Ingram didn’t work out last time due to his injury, but the analysis still stands. The Mavericks have been one of the worst defensive sides since the Kyrie Irving trade. Over their last 14 games, they are 26th in Defensive Net Rating, have allowed the 2nd most points in the paint, and most points per game to Power Forwards.
Despite scoring just 14 points against Dallas on Saturday, Jaren Jackson Jr. looks like a solid play for Monday. He shot just 3-12 from the floor against Dallas but found 21, 26, and 24 points in his previous three without Ja Morant available. Sitting at -130 at DraftKings, there’s clearly some value on JJJ to get a 20-piece at PrizePicks.
With that being said, it’s hard not to make an argument for other starters on Memphis. Tyus Jones to go over 15.5 points looks solid, considering he has cleared this in 9/13 games without Morant this year. Desmond Bane to score 24+ is also enticing, considering he is the Grizzlies’ go-to scoring option in Morant’s stead. Ultimately, JJJ is the play for me with how many points Dallas is allowing down low.

Killian Hayes Over 7.5 Assists
The Detroit Pistons have been playing short-handed as of late. Tomorrow they will be without Jaden Ivey, Bojan Bogdanovic, Isaiah Stewart, Alec Burks, and Marvin Bagley III. Luckily for Detriot, scoring should still come easy facing Indiana even without all of these members unavailable.
Indiana has the fifth-worst Defensive Net Rating, is eighth in Pace this season, and is allowing the sixth most assists per game to Point Guards over the last 30 games. Without Jaden Ivey available, Killian Hayes is the primary playmaker on the team. He dished 13 assists out against the Pacers two days ago and had 25 potential assists in total that game.
In Ivey’s absence, Hayes has 8+ assists in 4/6 games; however, when Hayes has played 33+ minutes without Ivey, he has cleared this in 4/4. In fact, when he has played at least 32 minutes this season, he has eclipsed this mark in 15/19 games averaging 8.3 APG. Seeing this line listed at -155 over on DraftKings affirms how strong of a play this is.
Additionally, the Pacers will be missing a couple of key pieces of their own. Myles Turner, Tyrese Haliburton, T.J. McConnell, and Bennedict Mathurin have all been ruled out, and there’s a chance Buddy Hield also doesn’t suit up. All told, this should be a game without much defense involved, so look for Hayes to benefit in the assists department.
Trae Young Over 37.5 Points+Assists
Trae takes on the T-Wolves, who have been a funnel for scoring Point Guards this year. They’re allowing the fifth most points to the position and are also one of the worst at defending shots from beyond the arc, ranking 27th in opponent 3PM%.
This game projects to be the highest-scoring game of the night, with the over/under sitting at 240 points. Much of this has to do with the fact that both teams are in the top seven in terms of Pace, so shots will be flying. Assists should also be plentiful for Young. He has 37+ points+assists in nine of his last 13 games averaging 37.5 per game.
