Sunday’s Best Winter Olympics Bets

(Odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook)

Czechia vs. Switzerland (Men’s Hockey)

Czechia is currently 1-1 in the Olympics. It lost to Canada on Thursday but knocked off France 6-3 on Friday. The offense came around in Game 2, but the defense has allowed at least three goals in each game so far.

On the flip side, Switzerland has done the same. It lost to Canada and beat France. Both countries have three points and are tied for second in the Group A standings. This game will count for a whole lot.

Czechia has a lot of talent like David Pastrnak, Tomas Hertl and Martin Necas. But they don’t have Pavel Zacha, who got hurt right before the Olympics. They’re steadier at the front but unstable overall. It’s an inconsistent group.

On the flip side, Switzerland has some big names like Nico Hischier, Roman Josi, Timo Meier and Nino Niederreiter. They’ve got enough depth to compete. I’ll take the over.

Pick: Over 5.5 Goals (+120)

France vs. Canada (Men’s Hockey)

The Canadians are the favorites to win the gold in Men’s Hockey. It’s gold or bust for Canada. They’ll face France after earning back-to-back easy victories over Czechia and Switzerland. France already lost to both of those teams, so this should be a pretty easy win for Canada.

France has only one NHL player and easily looks like the worst team in Group A. Look for Canada to earn a blowout, but don’t expect France to score a goal. A 5-0 or 6-0 win is in the cards.

I’m taking the under in this one.

Pick: Under 6.5 Goals (+118)
