Monday’s Best Winter Olympics Bets

Italy vs. Japan (Women’s Hockey)
The Italians are swarming to the ice rink to watch the Women’s Hockey team play. They’re setting attendance records. However, that didn’t help Italy much against Sweden on February 7, when they lost, 6-1.
Italy is now 1-1 in the Olympics after defeating France, 4-1, to begin. Italy stayed in the game after an unassisted goal from Franziska Stocker in the second period against Sweden, cutting the deficit to 3-1. Ultimately, Sweden was too much for Italy to handle.
Meanwhile, Japan most recently lost to Germany, 5-2. They’re also 1-1 after adding a win over France, 3-2, to start the Olympics.
However, the score, 5-2, makes it look like the game was tight, it wasn’t. Germany was up 5-0 late in the third and conceded two goals in garbage time. With the home crowd behind Italy, I’ll back Italy at +122.

USA vs. Switzerland (Women’s Hockey)
The United States looked dominant at the start of the Olympics. They’ve added wins over Czechia and Finland by a combined score of 10-1.
Meanwhile, Switzerland defeated Czechia in a shootout but lost to Canada, 4-0, in its most recent game. The Swiss held their ground early against Canada, but eventually, Canada pulled through with three goals in the third period.
Switzerland lost to Finland in 2022, 4-0, while Finland lost to the USA, 4-1. The USA will likely dominate a third game and stay undefeated. Don’t expect Switzerland to do much offensively. The total is set at 7.5. Neither game for the USA has gone over so far. Let’s take the Under here.
