Phillies vs. Guardians
Starting Pitchers: Zack Wheeler vs. Luis L. Ortiz
All roads lead to a Sunday Night Baseball showdown between the Phillies (23-16) and the Guardians (23-16). This Interleague contest features a pitching matchup between Zack Wheeler and Luis L. Ortiz. The MLB nightcap gets underway at 7:10 p.m. ET from Progressive Field in Cleveland, OH.
Cleveland's Ortiz hasn't been overpowering this year, bringing in a 5.30 ERA and a 1.42 WHIP. However, he does have a nice head-to-head edge against the Phillies for tonight's matchup. The right-hander has held their current roster to a slash line of .190/.261/.310 over 42 at-bats. That includes the top three hitters of Bryson Stott (0-for-3), Trea Turner (2-for-6, one double) and Bryce Harper (0-for-4), who are a combined 2-for-13 (.154) against Ortiz.
As for Wheeler, well, he's pitching like an ace once again in 2025. The 34-year-old hurler is 3-1, boasting a 3.35 ERA (37th) and a 0.94 WHIP (eighth). His 66 punchouts are the third-most in the league. Wheeler has logged four straight quality starts (26.2 innings), registering a 2.70 ERA during the stretch. The Guardians have been an NRFI machine this season, going 23-16 (59%) to the wager this season. That's the second-best mark in the league, and they've also cashed it in four straight games.
Bet: NRFI (-135)
