College Football Week 2 Longshot Bets: Texas vs. Michigan
(Odds via DraftKings Sportsbook)
If you are just looking for some long odds to bet on, there are quite a few games with those this week. But we are not picking out any old game with a massive point spread. No, we have searched through the week’s games to come up with a few longshots with a good chance of winning.
Of course, they shouldn’t win. That’s why they’re underdogs. But if things go their way, they might pull out a win.
Texas vs. Michigan
- Saturday, September 7 @ noon ET on FOX
- Michigan Stadium in Ann Arbor, Michigan
The Wolverines didn’t blow Fresno State out of the water like Texas did Colorado State last week. The offense was mediocre, but the defense played a solid game. Texas’ defense is not as good as it looked, but the offense probably is.
However, the Wolverines have enjoyed more success than Texas in recent years. They will not be intimidated in their home stadium; the Longhorns have never played in a venue quite like The Big House. Michigan’s defense will keep them in the game. They might even win if the offense can make a play or two in the fourth quarter.
The Wolverines are not getting enough credit; the Longhorns are getting too much. Both teams will get exposed. The Texas offense will find out life is hard against a legitimate defense; Michigan will do just enough to keep this one interesting.
Pick: Michigan (+225)
