Tuesday's Best MLB Player Prop Bets

    (Odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook)

Wilmer Flores Over 0.5 RBI (+180

Wilmer Flores entered the week with six home runs through 15 games. Despite batting just .255 to that point, he often found himself in clutch RBI spots and coming through regularly, as his 19 RBI led the team.

Considering Flores only batted .197 against right-handed pitchers, this is a great opportunity to get him in his better split against southpaws. He is 5-for-11 with a .909 OPS in his career against Jesus Luzardo. With teammates like Matt Chapman ranking in the bottom half of the league in expected batting average and slugging, I expect Flores will continue to pick up the slack for an offense ranked in the top five of the National League in runs scored.

Michael Wacha Under 2.5 Earned Runs (-105

Michael Wacha is 0-2 with a 4.20 ERA so far this season, but he is coming off his most promising start. Wacha held the Twins to just three hits and two earned runs in 5.1 innings.

Control has been an issue for Wacha to start the season, as he has three-plus walks in two of his three starts. However, the reason for optimism in this matchup is his ability to neutralize Yankees slugger Aaron Judge, who is 1-for-18 against Wacha with 11 strikeouts.

Wacha should only be asked to get 15-18 outs. With the Yankees ranking outside the top 10 in walk rate, I am banking on the righty getting his control issues in order in this road start.

Mark Vientos Over 1.5 Total Bases (+155

Mets slugger Mark Vientos had a breakout season in 2024, mashing 27 home runs and driving in 71 runs. However, he has struggled thus far this season, entering the week with a .130 batting average and 12 strikeouts through 15 games.

While his hard-hit rate was just 32.5%, things look encouraging for the third baseman, as he had a 37.5% launch angle and 30.8% squared-up rate.

I am banking on Vientos to go over this total bases prop, especially since Twins righty Bailey Ober ranks in the 15th percentile in expected batting average (xBA), in the 12th percentile in ground ball rate and in the eighth percentile in hard-hit rate allowed so far this season.
