Wednesday’s Best MLB Player Prop Bets

    (Odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook)

Jose Ramirez Over 1.5 Total Bases (-105)

Jose Ramirez and the Cleveland Guardians will take on Dean Kramer and the Baltimore Orioles. Kremer is a right-handed pitcher who has only struck out 15% of lefties to begin the season. In addition, he’s allowed a .333 ISO and wOBA of .485 to his first 40 lefties this season. Those 40 lefties have also hit 32.3% of fly balls and only 41.9% of ground balls.

Beyond that, Kremer has allowed a 12.9% barrel percentage to lefties. He’s also added just 7% of swinging strikes and has given up 41.9% of hard contact to lefties this season.

Jose Ramirez is a switch-hitter. However, he’ll bat left-handed against the righty Kremer. Ramirez has already hit a .265 ISO and wOBA of .324 against righties this season. He’s also struck out only 15.4% of the time against righties, while hitting 41.4% of fly balls.

Let’s give Ramirez a chance to add two total bases in tonight’s ball game.

Nick Castellanos Over 1.5 Total Bases (+140)

Nick Castellanos has slugged a .316 ISO and wOBA of .525 against lefties to begin the season. That’s big news, especially with a matchup against Robbie Ray tonight.

Ray is a left-handed pitcher who has allowed 40.6% of fly balls with just 34.4% of ground balls induced against righties. In addition, he’s allowed a .225 ISO and wOBA of .320 and has walked 16.7% of right-handed batters. That’s the same number of righties he’s struck out this season.

Meanwhile, Castellanos has only struck out 13.6% of the time and has hit 43.8% of line drives with 62.5% of hard contact against lefties. Castellanos hasn’t hit many grounders against lefties to begin the season.

That should help against Ray. Let’s back Castellanos to go over 1.5 total bases.

Tyler Soderstrom Over 1.5 Total Bases (+130)

Tyler Soderstrom has been the most surprising hitter in the MLB over the first month. He’s hit a .396 ISO and wOBA of .473 against righties, while hitting 52.6% of hard contact and a 21.1% barrel percentage.

    He’s tearing up right-handed pitching.

Tonight, he’ll battle Jonathan Cannon of the White Sox. Cannon has struggled against lefties, allowing a .278 ISO and wOBA of .399 to his first 41 lefties. Those lefties have added 42.3% of fly balls and 46.2% of hard contact. Cannon has also allowed an 11.5% barrel percentage with below 10% of swinging strikes against lefties this season.

Take Soderstrom to add at least two total bases. He’s red-hot right now.
