Top 3 NCAA Tournament Betting Picks for Round 2: Sunday, March 20 (2022 March Madness)
The college basketball slate is starting to get thinner. We’re in the Round of 32 and will have just 16 teams remaining after Sunday’s games. Let’s attack while we can and enjoy March Madness 2022. Here are my three favorite bets for March 20 in college basketball for the Round of 32.

Texas vs. Purdue: Texas +3.5 (-110)

The Texas Longhorns have one of the best defenses in the nation and will now take on one of the best offenses in the nation in Purdue. You know what they say. Defense win championships!
Texas looked terrific against Virginia Tech, but not on the defensive end. On the offensive end, Texas was able to score over 80 points and stun Virginia Tech. If the Longhorns are capable of putting up that kind of offensive output, Texas will be unstoppable. The defense will struggle to rebound a bit but will force Purdue into some really tough shots.

Villanova vs. Ohio State: Ohio State +5 (-110)

The Ohio State Buckeyes looked a whole lot better in their win against the Loyola Chicago Ramblers. The Buckeyes are fully healthy and extremely connected, especially on the defensive end. Ohio State held Loyola to just 41 points and Loyola was a top-10 offense coming into that game.
The Buckeyes have been inconsistent all year but the reality is, the offense is elite and the defense looks extremely improved. After all, the Buckeyes are hitting 36.6% from deep and 54.2% from inside the arc. That kind of offense going to win a lot of games with disciplined defense.
I like Ohio State to pull off the upset, but I’ll play it safe and take the points.

Notre Dame vs. Texas Tech: Texas Tech -7.5 (-110)

It’s been a fun run for Notre Dame. The Fighting Irish hadn’t been in the Tournament for a solid period of time but after a win in the Play-In against Rutgers and another win over Alabama, Notre Dame has been extremely fun to watch.
But all that fun is going to come to an end against Texas Tech. The Red Raiders destroyed Montana State in its opening game and look like a Final Four team. I don’t want to hear, “oh, it was just Montana State!†Kentucky lost to St. Peter’s and there were many other games that could’ve been a massive upset.
Texas Tech controlled every ounce of that game and has the best defense in the nation. The Fighting Irish won’t have it their way offensively in this one.
