Top College Basketball Picks for Monday, November 30 (2021)
How sweep it is! Am I right? Last night, our top three plays all hit, giving us a 3-0 day to start the week. There are no promises we’ll have 3-0 days every week, but we’re not going to go down without trying.
Here are my three favorite plays for tonight’s college basketball action for November 30.

Minnesota vs. Pittsburgh: Minnesota -140
(7:00 PM ET tip)
The Minnesota Gophers are 5-0 on the season but will have their first road test against a 2-4 Pittsburgh team. Right now, Pittsburgh is just trying to beat Miami in the ACC Standings, so it’s not the worst team in the conference.
The Panthers have turned the ball over 24 percent of the time and have shot just 27.9 percent from three-point land. While Pittsburgh gets to the line at a high rate, the Panthers are hitting just 60.4 percent of their foul shots. Meanwhile, Minnesota is holding opponents to just 21.4 percent from downtown and is limiting teams from getting to the line as the Gophers are in the top 20 in that category.
On the other hand, Minnesota is hitting 34.6 percent of threes and 53.6 percent of twos on the season. The turnovers are low, and the effective field goal percentage is above average at 53 percent on the season. The Gophers don’t dominate the glass offensively, but if they shoot well enough, it won’t become a factor knowing that Minnesota should win the turnover battle in this slower tempo game.
Give me the Gophers on the road on the moneyline.
Northwestern vs. Wake Forest: Northwestern +2

This year, the Big Ten is straight-up better than the ACC at the middle to bottom of each conference. We’ll see how Duke prepares against Ohio State today. That’s going to be a fun one, and I have no angle there. But I do have an angle on Northwestern against Wake Forest, on the road.
The Wildcats have just one loss on the year, and that’s a five-point defeat to Providence on a neutral court. Tonight, Northwestern will play their first road game of the season but are coming off a win against Georgia. Georgia essentially is the worst SEC team this year, but a 78-62 win was convincing enough.
The Wildcats are shooting an effective field goal percentage of 55.3 percent with a turnover rate of 12.5 percent. Northwestern is also shooting 38.6 percent from long range, 53.7 percent from inside, and have been dominating from the foul line shooting 78.4 percent from the line.
Wake Forest has just been slightly worse on the offense and defense. The Demon Deacons are allowing 30.7 percent from long range and 47.4 percent from inside the arc. For Wake, the biggest thing for them defensively has been forcing turnovers. It’s going to be tough to do that against Northwestern.
Elon vs. UNC Greensboro: UNC Greensboro -5 (-110)

Elon is 2-6 on the season and has allowed an effective field goal percentage of 56.5 percent while allowing 32.5 percent offensive rebounds. They’ve also allowed opponents to get to the line at one of the highest rates in all of college basketball and are giving up 44.2 percent from long range this season.
Meanwhile, Elon’s offense isn’t much better. They’ve struggled to get offensive rebounds at a high rate and have shot just 32.6 percent from three while hitting only 43.4 percent from inside the arc on the year.
UNC Greensboro should dominate the glass on both ends of the court and should be able to knock down open looks from beyond the arc while also having some success inside the paint.
