Top College Basketball Picks for Thursday, February 10 (2022)
The high-major games have been wild recently. There have been so many ranked upsets this week! Therefore, I’ll be staying away from some of the bigger games on the slate today, including Purdue-Michigan, because who knows, maybe we’ll see another upset tonight!
Here are my three favorite plays for Thursday, February 10, in college basketball.

North Dakota State vs. Western Illinois: North Dakota State +2 (-110)

North Dakota State is currently 9-4 in conference play this season. One of those losses came against Western Illinois, at home in overtime by 11. The game just got away from North Dakota State, and Western Illinois capitalized. In the other three losses, North Dakota State lost by three and four (twice).
Basically, what I’m getting at, is that North Dakota State will compete and stick around in this game. The Bison might even go wild and win by double digits. North Dakota State has held opponents to 31.9 percent from there and 47.6 percent from inside the arc. Forcing turnovers has been a problem for the Bison, but outside that, the defense has been fine.
Meanwhile, North Dakota State shoots 34.7 percent from deep, 49.5 percent from inside, and 75.5 percent from the foul line. In contrast, Western Illinois is allowing teams to shoot an effective field goal percentage of 52.1 percent and foul at a high rate, with little depth on the bench.
Give me North Dakota State here.

UT Martin vs. SIU Edwardsville: SIU Edwardsville -1 (-110)

Don’t look at SIU Edwardsville’s record and don’t look at their current losing streak. Just don’t do it! I know SIU Edwardsville already lost a game to UT Martin earlier this season, but I like them to bounce back in today’s game at home.
The Cougars have taken Austin Peay to overtime and have lost a handful of close games. Tonight, at home, I’m expecting them to close it out.
The Cougars should be able to dominate the offensive glass. While SIU Edwardsville is terrible from three, so is UT Martin. This game might come down to foul shooting, and SIU Edwardsville is getting to the line a whole lot more recently.
Bet: SIU Edwardsville -1 (-110)
SE Missouri State vs. Austin Peay: Austin Peay -3 (-110)

Austin Peay is currently on a three-game losing streak, but at home, against SE Missouri State, I like Austin Peay to get back on track tonight. SE Missouri State scored 98 points against Austin Peay in their last meeting back on January 1. However, there’s just no way that happens again.
Austin Peay is earning 20.2 percent turnovers and has held opponents to 33.5 percent from three. The defense for Austin Peay is not nearly as bad as you’d think. However, SE Missouri State, on the other hand, is allowing teams to shoot 35.6 percent from three, 52.3 percent from inside, and foul at an extremely high rate.
This is a bounce-back game for Austin Peay.
