Top MLB Betting Odds & Picks for Saturday, June 4 (2022)

Last night concluded with profit. We went 2-1 with our best bets and earned some profit heading into the weekend. Let’s look to add some more profit today.

Here are my top three best bets for today’s MLB slate!

(Odds courtesy DraftKings)

Cleveland Guardians vs. Baltimore Orioles

The Guardians made light work of the Orioles last night, and today should be no different. The Orioles will send out Tyler Wells, who has had a 5.44 xFIP over the previous 30 days. He’s also only striking out 13.9% of batters, and while his walks are still low, his ground ball rate is also low, along with a high line drive rate.

Look out for Jose Ramirez and Josh Naylor, to name a couple.

Meanwhile, it’ll be Triston McKenzie on the mound for the Guardians. He’s limiting line drives in the last 30 days and has earned 21.2% of strikeouts. He’s been fortunate with a BABIP of .134, and while that won’t last, as long as McKenzie can keep the Orioles away from hitting for power, he’ll throw quality innings.

Take the Guardians.

Bet: Guardians (-125 at DraftKings)

Seattle Mariners vs. Texas Rangers

Throughout the last couple of seasons, Glenn Otto has shown plenty of signs of potential. He’s had solid outings and often has games where he keeps the Rangers in the game, and I’m expecting that again today.

Otto might have a 5.68 xFIP, but he’s held lefties to a .282 wOBA and ISO of .071 in the last 30 days. The Mariners lineup will consist of seven lefties, which will help the confidence of the Rangers.

On the flip side, it’ll be Marco Gonzales for the Mariners. The lefty has a 6.14 xFIP in the last 30 days with just 10.3% of strikeouts. He’s struggled badly against lefties, and there’s no lefty better than Corey Seager.

I’ll ride the Rangers at home.

Bet: Rangers (-125 at DraftKings)

Washington Nationals vs. Cincinnati Reds

The Cincinnati Reds might’ve struggled to start the season, but they’ve been playing much better recently. The Reds will send out their “ace” pitcher in Tyler Mahle, who has struck out nearly 28% of batters in the last 30 days.

Mahle has limited wOBA’s to both sides and has allowed some power to righties. However, the Nationals only have a .149 ISO as a projected lineup, and the lone hitter with above-average ISO from the right side is Nelson Cruz, who hasn’t been all that exciting this year.

It’ll be Erick Fedde, who is trending backward for the Nationals. He now has a 5.50 xFIP in the last 30 days and has walked 13.1% of batters in that time frame.

Against his last 50 right-handed plate appearances, Fedde has allowed a .400 wOBA and ISO of .214. Today, he’ll face a Reds lineup that should have seven righties in the lineup.

Take the Reds at home.

Bet: Reds (-140 at DraftKings)
