Top MLB Parlay for Wednesday, April 13 (2022)

In yesterday’s article, we hit a +397 parlay between the Dodgers, Cardinals, and Red Sox. That was a fun parlay to help build the bankroll for more exciting bets this season. I can’t promise a winner every time but I can promise that I’ll be profitable with these once the season concludes.

Here’s my favorite parlay of the day for April 13.

Bet $5, Win $200 on Any MLB Moneyline

Chicago Cubs (-125)

Last season, Kyle Hendricks was all over the place. He was just so hot and cold throughout the entire season. However, in his first game on the mound this season, Hendricks held the Milwaukee Brewers to just one run in 5.1 innings while earning seven strikeouts.

Hendricks at -125 for the Cubs is something I can get down with and trust. The Pirates projected lineup hit a .139 ISO with a wOBA of .295 against righties last season with only Bryan Reynolds and Daniel Vogelbach hitting above average against right-handers last season.

On the other hand, Zach Thompson will take the mound for the Pirates and he’s struggled against lefties dating back to last year with a .339 wOBA and ISO of .197. Batters like Rafael Ortega, Ian Happ and Jayson Heyward all have potential and should have success against Thompson.

Bet: Cubs (-125 at DraftKings)

Boston Red Sox (-125)

The Red Sox will go up against former teammate, Eduardo Rodriguez, who didn’t have the best start to his 2022 campaign against the White Sox last week. Rodriguez allowed three runs on four hits in five innings of work and will now take on a Red Sox team that is pretty familiar with his pitches and stuff.

Boston’s righties include Kike Hernandez, Xander Bogaerts, J.D. Martinez and Bobby Dalbec. Those righties should have success against the left-handed Rodriguez who can sometimes be all over the place and allow a ton of hard contact.

On the other hand, Nathan Eovaldi will take the hill for the Red Sox. He’s much more reliable and finished last season with a 3.80 xFIP, 25.1% strikeouts and 4.9% walks. Righties have hit Eovaldi for power more than lefties. In the Tigers lineup, only Javier Baez is a real threat but he also strikeouts nearly 35% of the time and walks just 3.5% of the time against righties.

Take the Red Sox.

Bet: Red Sox (-125 at DraftKings)

Tampa Bay Rays (-180)

The Oakland Athletics have brutal numbers using their projected lineup against lefties dating back to last season. The A’s hit a .141 ISO and wOBA of .263 against lefties with the projected lineup. Only Chad Pinder has a wOBA that was above average against lefties.

This, despite the entire Athletics team likely batting from the right side. Therefore, Shane McClanahan should put together a solid performance tonight against the Athletics for the Rays. Meanwhile, Frankie Montas will take the hill for the Athletics and while he’s been above average, the Rays always platoon guys for the best potential matchups. Montas didn’t look all that great in his firsts start against the Phillies and that will likely continue against the Rays.

Bet: Rays (-180 at DraftKings)

Parlay: (+404 at DraftKings)
