Top MLB Parlay for Wednesday, April 20 (2022)
Look at that! Our +274 parlay hit last night between the Yankees, Cardinals, and Brewers! Thatâs a great way to start the week. But Iâm hungry. I want more of that.
Hereâs our April 20 MLB parlay.

Los Angeles Angels (-130)
The Los Angeles Angels will pitch Shohei Ohtani for the third time this season. He hasnât been electric on the mound, but ultimately, heâs going to improve as he settles in. Against the Houston Astros, Ohtani has a solid matchup. Heâs struggled against lefties but has mowed down righties dating back to last season.
In the lineup for the Astros, Houston will have three lefties and six righties, more than likely. That leaves us with Michael Brantley, Yordan Alvarez, and a struggling Kyle Tucker as the three lefties in the order. With Tucker looking lost at the plate, youâre ultimately looking at two hard outs right now.
The Astros will send out Jake Odorizzi, who has allowed six runs in two games this season. Heâs not getting high strikeouts with just three in two games and has allowed 24 fly balls in two games as well.
Back the Angels here.
Bet: Angels (-130 at DraftKings)
Minnesota Twins (-125)
The Twins will pitch Chris Paddack for tonightâs game. Iâm not a Paddack fan and ultimately donât think heâs very good. But heâs the better pitcher in this matchup going up against Kansas Cityâs Daniel Lynch.
Lynch allowed nine hits and six runs to the Cardinals in his first start of the season. Heâs got strikeout potential but ultimately walks a ton of batters and allows heavy hard contact and overall damage from the right side.
Lynch will now need to face eight righties in the Twins lineup, including a few dominant righties against lefties like Jorge Polanco, Kyle Garlick, and Gary Sanchez. Itâs going to be a long night for Lynch.
Bet: Twins (-125 at DraftKings)
Seattle Mariners (-155)
Logan Gilbert is one of the better young pitchers in the game. This season, heâs been as dominant, holding a 0.90 ERA through two starts against Minnesota and the Chicago White Sox. Heâs thrown 85 pitches to 20 batters in each start and has been able to go a full five innings in both games.
Gilbert also has 11 strikeouts in 10 innings and just looks comfortable on the mound.
On the other hand, Dane Dunning will man the mound for the Rangers tonight. Dunning and his walks can get high. He now has an ERA of 5.19 through two starts, along with a WHIP of 1.73. Dunning has given up 11 hits in 8.2 innings and has also allowed two home runs and four walks.
Iâd much rather back Gilbert to help lead the Mariners to victory.
