Top NFL Teaser Picks for Wild Card Weekend (2022)

Last week, the Titans blew a 21-0 lead and only ended up winning by three when we had Titans -4 as one of the legs in the teaser. So the teaser ultimately lost by one point, but now we’re hungrier than ever to win a teaser during Wild Card weekend.

Every week, we’ll share our favorite picks for a 6-point basic teaser in the NFL in this article. It’s also smart to play numbers that make sense. You need to cross key numbers to gain value. Those numbers would be 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 7, 10, 13, 14, 17.

Again, here’s a teaser betting guide from Jason Katz via BettingPros if you aren’t familiar with Teasers.

Leg #1 Cincinnati Bengals +1.5

The Bengals are currently -225 on the moneyline and have already defeated the Las Vegas Raiders, 32-13 earlier this season. Now the Bengals are playing much better football and have put together an offense that will soon mimic the longevity of the Chiefs’ success on the offensive end.

It’s really only a matter of time.

Burrow didn’t do much against the Raiders in that regular-season game. Instead, Joe Mixon rushed 30 times and over 100 yards with a couple of touchdowns. But that’s the beauty of this Bengals offense. Anyone can contribute at any time.

Now, the defense does have their weaknesses, but if we’re getting the Bengals with the points, I’m confident Burrow can lead the Bengals to victory, even if it’s a shootout.

Leg #2. Patriots +10

The last time these two teams played in Buffalo, the Bills only scored 10 points in a 14-10 win by the Patriots. The Patriots, of course, lost to the Bills at home the second time around. But knowing that this game will be freezing, you’d like to think that the Patriots will go back to how they played that first game.

They’ll continue to run the ball against a Bills defense that isn’t great at stopping the run. The one thing that the Bills struggle with is stopping the run and tackling. For the Patriots, stopping the run isn’t a strength, but tackling is.

In cold weather, finishing tackles and plays will be essential, and the Patriots will be the team to execute better. In a low-scoring game, I’m confident with the Patriots getting 10 points here.

Leg #3. Kansas City Chiefs -6.5

Most games in the NFL are won by seven points. That’s because every touchdown and the extra point is seven points. So getting the Chiefs -6.5 and knowing you can win this leg if the Chiefs win by just one touchdown is crucial.

The reality is, the Pittsburgh defense won’t be able to get a stop every time the Chiefs have possession, and the Steelers offense isn’t good enough to stick around. Plus, the Chiefs have played so much better defensively (minus the season’s final two games). Just look at the Chiefs from the start of the year and then look at the Chiefs’ defensive numbers in the second half of the year.

It’s a night and day difference. If the Chiefs can continue to produce on the defensive end, there’s no way the Steelers can compete offensively against the Chiefs.
