Top TBT Betting Odds & Picks for Wednesday (7/27)

The Basketball Tournament will continue with another round of games tonight. More and more teams are being knocked out of the tournament as some are currently playing in the quarterfinals portion of the bracket.

So far, we’ve been profitable with our TBT bets, and I’m looking to sustain that moving forward. Here are my best bets for the tournament tonight.

Red Scare vs. The Money Team

The Red Scare has finished two games in the tournament. They’ve averaged just 68.5 points per game but have held their opponents to 63 points per game. Besides the AfterShocks, the Red Scare has been one of the best defensive teams in the tournament after recently shutting down theGolden Eagles, 62-56.

Jordan Sibert has led the team in scoring 14.5 points per game, and three other players on the squad average more than six points per game. Thanks to terrific defense, the Red Scare has earned 38 rebounds per game while also adding 30 points per game in the paint.

On the other hand, The Money Team has won two straight with 81.5 points per game. Opponents have scored 71 points against The Money Team in the tournament. In the tournament’s second round, The Money Team defeated Men of Mackey, 92-75, with Jimmer Fredette leading the way with 25 points per game.

The Money Team has also dominated in the paint, earning 38 points inside. They’ve also earned 33 rebounds per game and have the best scoring option in the league.

The Red Scare won’t be able to stick around offensively against The Money Team.

Bet: The Money Team -4 (-115 at DraftKings)

Gutter Cats vs. AfterShocks

The Gutter Cat Gang has scored 74 points per game after winning three straight games in the tournament. Opponents have added just 64 points per game against them.

The Gutter Cats most recently knocked off Team Arkansas, 62-52, and showed off tremendous defense in that game. This team is becoming more connected after every game. But while the defense has increased, points scored have decreased game-by-game.

QJ Peterson and Tyrese Rice have led the team in scoring through three games with 14.3 points each. This team has been solid inside the arc, scoring 31.3 points per game inside the paint. But they’re limited on the glass.

Meanwhile, the AfterShocks, as mentioned above, are still the best defense in the tournament.  They’ve allowed 60.3 points scored per game while adding 74.3 points offensively. They’re coming off a win against Bleed Green, 70-69, in a nail-biter.

Connor Frankamp has led the team in points, averaging 13.3 points per game. They’re a balanced offense with no true scoring leader on the team. The AfterShocks are getting 36 points per game from the bench through three games and also adding 34 points per game in the paint.

Both teams essentially live in the paint, and neither team has a reliable scorer that can just take the game over either. Therefore, I’m going to side with the under in this one.

Bet: Under 141.5 (-115 at DraftKings)
