WNBA Player Props & Bets: Wednesday (9/23)
Today marks the second-to-last day of the WNBA season, and only four teams are in action. First, the Liberty will host the Dream, then the Storm will host the Wings. Below, I explain why Paige Bueckers and Breanna Stewart are set for excellent regular-season finales. Then, I highlight why the Storm could actually cause problems for Arike Ogunbowale.

Paige Bueckers 25+ Points (+205)
Bueckers is averaging 20.8 points per game to lead all Wings players. She's scored at least 26 points in back-to-back games, and she enters tonight's game having scored at least 27 points in two of her three games against the Storm. In her most recent meeting with Seattle, she dropped 32.
While the Wings are in the postseason, this game is far from meaningless to them. A win could help them vault a few positions in the standings, helping them potentially avoid a first-round series against one of the best teams in the league. Therefore, I think that Bueckers will play her usual minutes tonight.
The Storm rank 10th in scoring defense, allowing 88.6 points per game. They've allowed at least 90 points in three of their last four games.
Arike Ogunbowale Under 1.5 Made 3-Pointers (+116)
For as bad as the Storm defense has been, defending the 3-point line is one area where they've succeeded. They rank first in opponent 3-point percentage, allowing the opposition to make just 32.5% of their attempts from deep.
Ogunbowale is averaging 1.7 made 3-pointers per game, but she's only shooting 32.2% from long-range. She's made just one 3-pointer in three consecutive games, shooting 20% or worse in each of those contests.
Ogunbowale hasn't been great against the Storm this season. While she made two 3-pointers the last time she faced them, she went 0-of-8 from deep in her first two games against them. Even in a game where the Wings scored 112 points, she managed just four points, as she went 0-of-3 from 3-point range.
Breanna Stewart Over 8.5 Rebounds (+118)
Stewart is averaging 8.3 rebounds per game, but she's dominated the glass in both her meetings with the Dream this season. On Monday, she grabbed 14 rebounds against the Dream, and earlier this season she recorded 11 boards.
The Dream are allowing the second-fewest rebounds per game, which is the only reason that the price for this Over is as good as it is. But considering Stewart has had so much success against them, I feel this is a case of oddsmakers overreacting to season averages and not looking closely enough at actual performance on the court.
For what it's worth, Stewart has at least eight rebounds in her last four games. She's reached nine rebounds in three of those contests and 10 twice.
