WNBA Same Game Parlay Odds & Picks: Friday (5/16)

The WNBA opens up the season with three games tonight. No. 1 overall draft pick Paige Bueckers will make her WNBA debut with the Dallas Wings and face the Minnesota Lynx. Bueckers was a big fan of the Lynx growing up, and now she’ll debut against them.

Meanwhile, the Golden State Valkyries will make their WNBA debut tonight with a home game against the Los Angeles Sparks.

I’ve added a same-game parlay (SGP) for both WNBA matchups below, each with odds above +400.

Friday's Best WNBA Same Game Parlay Bets

(Odds courtesy of FanDuel Sportsbook)

Minnesota Lynx vs. Dallas Wings

Teaira McCowan finished with at least 10 points in six of her last seven regular-season games last season. She scored at least 18 points in three of those seven games. In her last 10 games last season, McCowan shot nearly 60% from the field and attempted almost nine shots per game. She likely won’t be the primary contributor for this Dallas offense. That’ll be Arike Ogunbowale, but McCowan should benefit from Paige Bueckers being on the team.

It’ll be fun watching Bueckers, but it’s hard to imagine her scoring 15 points in her debut. Caitlin Clark only finished with 20 points in her WNBA debut and hit just five shots in that game. There will be some challenges before Bueckers completely goes off.

Napheesa Collier is out to prove she’s one of the best players in the WNBA. With Kayla McBride out and Alanna Smith unlikely to play, Collier will need to put the Lynx on her back in the opening game.

Parlay Odds: +453

Los Angeles Sparks vs. Golden State Valkyries

Kelsey Plum wasn’t the go-to scorer on the Las Vegas Aces last season. But she’ll be the primary contributor for the Los Angeles Sparks. In 2024, she attempted more than 14 shots per game. I wouldn’t be surprised if this number increases with the Sparks this season. Cameron Brink is still unavailable, so this will be the Plum show.

On the other hand, Dearica Hamby recorded at least nine rebounds in 63% of games last season. She’s going up against a Golden State team that lacks top-tier talent. The Valkyries have Tiffany Hayes, who was the best bench player from a year ago. But no stars. There’s going to be many missed shots in the home opener, especially from Hayes, who figures to be the team’s leading scorer.

Hayes scored at least 16 points in 21% of games last season. She also shot below 50% from the floor and hit nearly 38% from three. But as the top player on the team, the defense should put more emphasis on stopping her. Take Hayes to go under 15.5 points to conclude this parlay.

Parlay Odds: +498
