We’ve got a four-game slate in the WNBA tonight. Each game has a spread of 6.5 points or longer, but we’ll still get some quality action with the chance of an upset.

Golden State Valkyries vs. Los Angeles Sparks

Azura Stevens has recorded at least 21 points in back-to-back games this season. She scored 21 against Minnesota and then added 23 against the Mercury. In both games, she attempted 12 shots and nailed seven field goals. Meanwhile, she got to the foul line more against the Mercury after drawing five fouls in that game. Stevens is becoming a major offensive asset for the Sparks and should continue her dominance against a below-average Golden State squad.

Meanwhile, the Valkyries and Sparks already played on May 16th to start the season. Dearica Hamby finished with 10 rebounds, yet only added two offensive rebounds. Since that game, Hamby has earned seven offensive rebounds in the last two games. The defensive rebounds will be there, but the offensive rebounds could increase for Hamby tonight.

Kelsey Plum drained four three-pointers against the Valkyries. She’s hit at least four threes in two of her first four games and has shot 41.4% from three over her last 10 games, dating back to last year. In addition, Plum only took six threes against the Valkyries in that game. Since then, she’s attempted nine threes in back-to-back games and is getting more comfortable with her new team. Look for Plum to earn plenty of threes tonight.

    Phoenix Mercury vs. Seattle Storm

It’s been an insane start to the season for Satou Sabally. She’s earned at least 25 points in each game to start the season. In her first two games, shots were falling. She nailed at least 50% from the field in each of those two games and attempted a combined 29 field goals. However, in the most recent game against the Sparks, Sabally hit just six shots on 16 field-goal attempts. Despite the poor shooting, she got to the foul line many times and went 12-of-15 from the charity stripe. Sabally can have a big shooting night, but she’s also aggressive and can find her way to the foul line when shots aren’t falling.

On the other hand, Nneka Ogwumike scored 23 points for Seattle last time out. However, she scored no more than 16 points in her first two games and will battle a Phoenix team that already held her to 12 points on May 17th. In that game, the Mercury limited the Storm to just 59 points on the road. Ogwumike and the Storm likely won’t have a big offensive outing tonight.

Gabby Williams grabbed zero rebounds in 32 minutes against the Storm in her season debut. However, she posted five rebounds in 39 minutes against Dallas. She looked much better in her second game and will likely play a factor for Seattle this year. Williams earned at least four rebounds in 79% of games last year. If she’s going to get 35+ minutes a night, four rebounds seems easily achievable.
