WNBA Same Game Parlays & Picks: Sunday (6/1)

The WNBA’s Commissioner’s Cup will begin today with four games on the slate. Ultimately, the Cup is an in-season tournament that takes place from June 1 to June 17. However, the Championship game will be on July 1. Players on the winning team will earn approximately $30,000 each, and the Cup’s MVP will receive an additional $ 5,000. Additionally, players will also be rewarded with cryptocurrency, as Coinbase will be a sponsor of the event. Without further ado, I’ve added two WNBA same-game parlays for the later games on the WNBA slate. Let’s have a night!

Sunday’s Best WNBA Same Game Parlays

    (Odds courtesy of FanDuel SportsbookFanDuel)

Phoenix Mercury vs. Los Angeles Sparks WNBA Same Game Parlays

Azura Stevens has earned at least ten rebounds in four of her last five games. She’s played close to 30 minutes per game since the start of the season and has earned at least two offensive rebounds in four consecutive games. Meanwhile, the Storm rank 10th in the WNBA in total rebounds allowed to power forwards. That’s why Stevens was able to bring down 17 rebounds against the Mercury back on May 21.

Meanwhile, Dearcia Hamby has tallied at least six assists in three straight games. Yet, she only recorded two against Phoenix on May 21. Ultimately, the Mercury rank No. 1 in the WNBA in assists against power forwards and rank third in the WNBA in assists against centers. They’re really good at limiting bigs from getting a high rate of assists.

Finally, Kelsey Plum finished with six assists against the Mercury in her earlier matchup. She’s added at least seven assists in just 14% of games this season and has averaged just five assists in her last five games. Meanwhile, the Mercury rank third in the WNBA in assists allowed to shooting guards. While Plum will have the ball in her hands more this season than last year, totaling seven assists won’t be an easy feat, especially against the Mercury.

Minnesota Lynx vs. Golden State Valkyries WNBA Same Game Parlays

Napheesa Collier is currently a game-time decision. However, if she does play, she’s got a fantastic matchup. She’ll take on a Golden State Valkyries team that ranks 10th in the WNBA in points allowed to power forwards. Collier has averaged nearly 27 points per game this season. She’s currently in the early race for the MVP of the league this season. Expect big things for Collier against the expansion team.

On the other hand, Kayla Thornton has scored at least 12 points in three of her last four games. Still, she failed to hit this line in her most recent game against the Liberty. She’s attempted at least ten shots every game, however, she’s nailed no better than 36.4% from the floor in any regular season game. That said, the Lynx are slightly above average in points allowed to forwards this season. They should be able to keep Thornton in check.

Still, Thornton can produce on the glass. She’s hauled in at least five rebounds in four straight games. Thornton even grabbed ten rebounds against the Sparks on May 23. Her best work is on the offensive glass, where she’s added eight offensive rebounds in the last three games. The Lynx are good on the glass, but they’re ultimately just average analytically. Hopefully, Thornton can follow her misses and tally up more boards.
