World Baseball Classic Best Bets Odds, Picks & Predictions: Friday (3/10)
Heading into tonight’s games, only two teams are still undefeated between Pools A and B.
Japan knocked off Korea, 13-4, to improve to 2-0 this morning. Meanwhile, the Netherlands had yesterday off but are 2-0 with wins over Cuba and Panama.
Depending on the game, the WBC games can be found on FS1, FS2, or TUBI. Right now, there are only games in Pool A and Pool B. The other pools, again, start on Saturday.
There are four games for the next slate of games. Two of them are at night, while the other two can be found on television in the morning. Here are a couple of bets to consider for the next portion of the WBC games.

China vs. Australia
China will look to get into the win column with a game against Australia.
They’ve lost their first two games to begin the World Baseball Classic after allowing eight runs in each game to Japan and the Czech Republic.
The pitching has been a bit spotty. They’ll send out Xin Qi, who will make his first World Baseball Classic appearance and start. There’s not much information on Qi but he pitched for the Texas AirHogs in 2018 and went 0-1 with a 2.11 ERA in 21 games. However, he still had a WHIP of 1.64 so he’ll allow runners on base, but it seems he was good at getting out of jams.
Meanwhile, Australia is coming off a win over Korea, winning 8-7. The offense earned ten hits and two walks, but the top of the order still struggled to produce in their lone game.
Still, Australia found a way to win while the pitching allowed seven runs. You’d figure that Australia used its better pitchers in Game 1. In Game 2, they’ll likely have to resort to lower-quality pitchers late. Therefore, I’ll grab the Over.

Panama vs. Italy
We’ve got more stats to look at for tonight’s game between Panama and Italy. Panama defeated Chinese Taipei but lost their last two games to Netherlands and Cuba. The offense has only scored five runs in their last two games and probably won’t have it any easier against Italy’s pitching.
Italy held Cuba to just three runs but had a poor day against Chinese Tapei, allowing 16 hits and 11 runs. Those came in the later innings but looking up and down the Italian roster, the pitching will be better than how they played. Italy will have more of their premier pitching out of the bullpen for this game.
Plus, the middle of the Italy lineup includes one of the more underrated power sluggers in baseball, Vinnie Pasquantino, who is hitting .333. Italy’s good enough to advance through their pool. Grab Italy to win tonight’s game.
