The final jewel of the triple crown, the Test of the Champion is typically the longest of the three races at a full 1.5 miles. However, the 2025 version of the Belmont Stakes will run at the historic Saratoga Race Course in Saratoga Springs, N.Y., rather than Belmont Park, for the second year in a row, as renovations continue at the race's usual home. That means the distance is being shortened from 1.5 miles to 1.25 miles due to the difference in track circumference. Uncaged Belmont Stakes Predictions

I liked Uncaged a lot more before his uninspired 6th at the Peter Pan Stakes. I was surprised to see him enter the Belmont after such a poor placing at the PP, but here we are.
The best thing Uncaged has going for him is the fact he is being ridden by Luis Saez, who has won two career Belmont Stakes with both victories coming in the last four races, including last year’s amazing long shot victory on Dornoch at 17-1. Another positive would be his trainer, Todd Pletcher, has trained over a quarter of the horses that have placed in the money at the Belmont over the past 20 years.
If you are Jonesing for a spry long shot, I’ve seen more from less so he’s worth a sprinkle.
