Shane Lowry British Open History
The 35-year-old Irish golfer has to consider this tournament a little more special than the rest. Lowry returned strong from a four-year hiatus from the tournament’s final rounds with a victory in 2019. He shot 15-under par in the second of his two wins in the PGA Tour circuit and will look to keep up his fantastic pace here in the U.K.’s tournaments.
Shane Lowry’s Recent Form
The recent form of Shane Lowry has been good but has left much to be desired regarding wins. He has not notched his first win of the year, but he has four top-10 finishes this year. Finishing third at both the Masters and the RBC Heritage Classic in April, this is his best season yet on the Tour. His metrics are reasonable, and he is a seasoned vet. I expect him to keep up his momentum.
Shane Lowry British Open Prediction
I feel comfortable saying that Shane Lowry will make the cut and finish within the top 25. However, with this being a course that he missed the cut on in 2015, I think his upside beyond making the cut is limited. He is having a great year and deserves some respect that comes with being the 13th-ranked golfer in the world.
