Friday’s Best College Football Player Prop Bets & Picks
Let’s dive into our top college football player prop bet picks for Friday’s college football bowl games.
(Odds courtesy of FanDuel Sportsbook)
Diego Pavia Under 187.5 Passing Yards (-117)
Diego Pavia hasn’t thrown for more than 186 yards in five consecutive games. In his last matchup against Tennessee, Pavia only threw the ball 17 times and completed just eight passes.
Additionally, he hasn’t even completed more than 16 passes in eight of his last nine games and is averaging just 14.2 completions in the previous 10 games. Pavia has recorded 7.6 yards per pass over the last 10 games and will take on a Georgia Tech secondary that has played pretty well this season. Georgia Tech has allowed just 225.42 yards in the air per game. That’s a solid average rate, but Pavia isn’t a solid average thrower. He’s more of a polished runner who likes to make plays with his legs.
Take Pavia to go under his passing yards prop.
Kyle McCord Over 324.5 Passing Yards (-117)
Kyle McCord threw for 4,326 yards through 12 games this season. He was a top-10 finalist for the Heisman Trophy this season. Now, he’ll battle a Washington State defense allowing 255.33 yards per game via the air this season.
Meanwhile, Washington State had six defensive starters join the transfer portal. Those guys will likely play in this game, but it’s hard to trust players who already have one foot out the door. This includes cornerbacks Ethan O’Conner and Stephen Hall.
McCord has dominated ACC-level defenses all season. He’ll have no problems destroying this Washington State defense.
Trebor Pena Over 64.5 Receiving Yards (-121)
Let’s double down on the Syracuse passing attack. Trebor Pena caught 79 balls for 871 yards and seven touchdowns this season. He also averaged 11 yards per reception and totaled six catches for 128 yards against Miami last time out.
Pena caught at least four passes in all but one game this season. In the one game he struggled, he caught two passes for seven yards but still added a touchdown.
Pena is a big part of this Syracuse offense. If McCord gets to 325 yards passing, Pena should record at least 65 receiving yards.
