Dallas Cowboys vs. New York Giants Odds and Game Pick (2021)

The Dallas Cowboys have been on a rollercoaster ride this year. In their first game against Tampa Bay, they looked like they might be one of the best teams in the NFL. In the last six games, the Cowboys are 3-3, and now they play a divisional opponent in the New York Giants this week. The Giants have not been any better. They are 4-9 and haven’t found their identity as a football team yet. The only things the Giants have going for themselves is that they have Saquon Barkley back and that this is a home game. The Giants are 3-3 at home and have won the last three home games in a row. Let’s look into this divisional game to see what bets have the best value.

Overview

The Cowboys are up and down lately. With Zeke limited with a knee injury and Pollard having a torn plantar fascia, the Cowboys running game will be limited. That means the Cowboys will have to pass the ball, and when a team is one-dimensional like that, it limits their scoring ability. The Cowboys average 29 points per game, and without the run, this will lower that number. The defense for the Cowboys is starting to look better. They are giving up 22 points per game, and Micah Parsons might be the best player in the NFL right now. That is a seven-point difference between their offense and defense, which leans towards the Giants during this game.

New York has been a mess this year. In the last three home games, they have gotten it together. Their defense is allowing 9 points in these home games. That is one of the best numbers in the league right now. Their offense has still struggled, averaging 18 points per game. One of the reasons that the offense has been stale has been the lack of rushing, the Giants average 94 rushing yards a game. Saquon returning will give their offense a spark. That showed last week when they played and scored 21 points. The Giants are a whole new team when playing at home. That has shown in the recent home games. That means this is fantastic betting value in this matchup.

Bottom Line

The spread started at one point and has moved ten points since then. That is a massive difference for the betting spread to change. The Giants have not been good this year, but at home, they are a lot better than away. This matchup is a home and a divisional game, which means anything can happen. We have seen this a few times. Similar to when the Lions beat the Vikings a couple of weeks ago. This part of the season is the time of the year that players and coaches are playing for their jobs and weird things happen during games. With the spread being large, this is fantastic betting value. That means it’s time to bet on the New York Giants.

Pick:  New York Giants -11 (-110)
