Detroit Lions Super Bowl Winner (+15000)

Despite posting an abysmal 3-13-1 record, Detroit’s 2021 season can oddly be considered a successful one. The transition from franchise stalwart Matthew Stafford was/is expected to hamper the Lions for years. Still, initial returns suggest that the franchise appears to have found some identity with second-year HC Dan Campbell.

With the debut of HBO’s Hard Knocks, infatuation grows for Campbell and the Lions. And, if Detroit were to sneak into the NFC wildcard, it would be a hell of a lot of fun to have a small wager on Detroit to win the Super Bowl.

Having said that, the Lions aren’t winning the Super Bowl. Detroit has failed to win a playoff game since 1991, and this outcome would be a monumental turnaround for a franchise in the midst of a historic playoff drought.

There are better ways to bet on this team. Save your money for now.

Detroit Lions Conference Winner (+6000)

Detroit has been dominated by its conference foes for decades. And while this franchise appears on the path toward sustained success, it would be shocking if the Lions flipped the script this season.

Pass on taking Detroit to win the NFC.

Detroit Lions Division Winner (+1000)

Many have been bullish on the Lions for the entirety of the offseason, and their hype train certainly has not derailed post-Hard Knocks. As a result, the consensus line on Detroit to win the NFC North has shifted significantly from what it was in March.

With the value having likely been priced out by line movement, pass on betting Detroit to dethrone the Packers in the NFC North.

Detroit Lions Win Total o6.5 (-160) / u6.5 (+105)

Expect Detroit to dominate the trenches offensively and for third-year RB D’Andre Swift to enter into the pantheon of elite NFL backs. Additionally, Detroit may sneakily boast one of the best receiving corps in the league. And although QB Jared Goff catches a lot of flak, he has proven he can thrive under the right circumstances.

Detroit is the epitome of a positive regression candidate, and heres hoping that Goff has found himself another fertile environment under the tutelage of Dan Campbell. Take the Lions o6 wins (-160).

Detroit Lions to Make the Playoffs yes (+450) / no (-455)

One of the perks of a lackluster 2021 is that the Lions’ schedule this season should be far from daunting. And, if the Lions were to put the pieces together sooner than expected, there is surely an opportunity for Detroit to sneak into the wildcard in a shoddy NFC.

Nine wins are likely enough to earn a Wildcard in the NFC. For those backing Detroit to win o6 games this year, this line should be appealing as well.

Favorite Futures Bet

The Lions were among the worst teams in the NFL last season, yet they surely became a darling to many sports bettors with a league-best record of 11-6 ATS.

Let’s hope that Detroit can translate these covers into wins. Bet the Lions to win o6 games (-160).
