MLB Same Game Parlay Odds, Picks & Predictions: Sunday (9/3)

We have just one more month of the regular season. With all of the teams still in contention, it'll be a fun few weeks. Let's look at some important matchups with teams needing wins to stay in the race.

Sunday's Best MLB Same Game Parlay Bets

(Odds courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook)

Detroit Tigers at Chicago White Sox

  • Leg 1: Tigers Moneyline (-148)
  • Leg 2: OVER 8.5 Runs (-115)
  • Leg 3: Michael Kopech 5+ Hits (+105)

Tarik Skubal had a great August by going at least five innings and allowing two or fewer runs in his last three of five starts and 10.2 strikeouts per nine innings. He has a blazing fastball, an effective slider, and a changeup that gives him a chase percentage in the 80th percentile. Some of his starts have gone to waste due to a lack of run support, including three losses when he's allowed two or fewer runs.

This will likely be the first full season where Michael Kopech doesn't finish with a sub-4.00 ERA. He still comes with a great fastball, but his slider has not been as sharp this year, and his breaking ball value went from even last season to currently -6. His last start against Detroit was fantastic, going seven, allowing two earned and season-high nine strikeouts.

The Tigers are looking for the sweep, and Skubal should do well enough for Detroit to pull the brooms out.

Parlay Odds: +542

Atlanta Braves at Los Angeles Dodgers

Charlie Morton has been on an incredible run as of late, allowing just one earned over his last four starts, and opposing batters are hitting .146. The problem is those were against the Mets, the Yankees during their nine-game skid, and the Rockies. He has a bad track record against this LA lineup, and they’re batting .269 with .411 SLG, and he’s 0-2 with a 4.15 ERA in three starts at Dodger Stadium.

The Braves will have a special place in Bobby Miller’s heart as he beat them in his MLB debut. He has a fastball that can reach triple digits. He also mixes in the sinker, changeup, and curveball, causing hitters to have trouble getting good contact, with only a 6.9 barrel contact percentage.

The Dodgers need to salvage one game in this series, and they’ll do it tonight.

Parlay Odds: +635

Toronto Blue Jays at Colorado Rockies

  • Leg 1: Blue Jays -2.5 (-110)
  • Leg 2: OVER 12.5 Runs (+110)
  • Leg 3: Blue Jays OVER 6.5 Runs (-140)

Kevin Gausman has been the Jays’ best pitcher, leading the rotation in ERA, WHIP, and WAR. The fastball is sharp, but the split-finger has been a drop off the table pitch with a 41.4 whiff rate, and that's a reason his strikeout rate is above 30% for the first time in his career.

It's been a rough year for Chase Anderson, filled with awful starts, and he is now making his first start since missing a month with right shoulder inflammation.

Parlay Odds: +587
