Same Game Parlay NFC Championship Game: Rams vs. 49ers (2022)

The Same Game Parlay has become one of the most sought-after options for sportsbooks as every major outlet, including our friends over at DraftKings, has begun to offer it. As the title suggests, this type of bet allows the bettor to mix straight bets (such as money lines, totals, etc.) with prop bets (yardage totals, touchdown scorers, etc.) and produce inflated parlay-level odds.

Let’s take a look at one in the 49ers vs. Rams game I have my eye on.

Leg #1. Rams ML

Holding the edge in almost every unit group, as well as the coaching box, I like the Rams to win this one out right before it’s all said and done. However, having lost six straight games to this 49ers team is not something to push aside. I expect a close game throughout.

One of the major differences is the separation between Matthew Stafford and Jimmy G. Stafford has one of the best seasons of his career with an arsenal of skill players at his disposal. Look for a big game from Stafford and pass rusher Aaron Donald, as both continue to the quest for their very first Super Bowl.

Leg #2. First Touchdown Scorer: Cam Akers

After two big postseason games so far, racking up 41 touches and being counted on for large stretches of both games, it’s easy to forget Akers’ story. Missing the entire regular season following an Achilles tear, Akers is not supposed to be here and yet has produced at an elite level.

Having yet to find the end zone, I expect a heavy dose of Akers in the game plan. Adding in the fact he’s a great ball catcher, I wouldn’t be surprised for him to find it early.

Leg #3. Jimmy Garoppolo Under 194.5 Passing Yards

Garoppolo has been nothing more than a game manager through two games this postseason, averaging just 152 yards per game and 6.9 yards per completion. Now dealing with a shoulder injury in addition to his thumb, I expect a heavy dose of the run in this one and for him to constantly be under pressure when he does drop back.
