UFC Fight Night London Odds, Preview & Betting Guide: Jack Hermansson vs. Chris Curtis (2022)

While a pair of top five heavyweights will go at it in the main event on Saturday in London, a couple of middleweights will go at it in the co-main as Jack Hermansson will look to defend his top 10 ranking vs. the currently unranked American Chris Curtis.

Let’s take a closer look at the co-main event of the evening, and see where the edge remains.

Betting Profile: Jack Hermansson (22-7-0)

Last Five Fights (L-W-L-W-L)

A fan favorite in the company, “The Joker,” will look to get back on track following a February loss to Sean Strickland via split decision, his third loss in five fights. It is worth noting that his recent losses have come against some of the division’s very best in Marvin Vettori and Jared Cannonier, and he enters the octagon, the much more tested fighter on Saturday.

Betting Profile: Chris Curtis (29-8-0)

Last Five Fights (W-W-W-W-W)

Chris Curtis joined the UFC in November and has been busy since, rattling off three straight wins in the time since, two of which have ended via TKO inside of two rounds. The last time we saw him in the octagon was his toughest test to date, a three-round war with Rodolfo Vieira, a win he earned via decision. The decision win was just his second to go to the judge’s scorecard since 2019, which includes nine fights across different promotions.

Bottom Line

While Curtis’s sample size is smaller, the numbers can’t be ignored as the damage he’s done thus far is commendable. As of Saturday, Curtis is averaging 7.23 significant strikes per minute (vs. 4.95), with an accuracy clip of 65% (vs. 44%). It’s also worth noting that while Hermansson has the slight edge in grappling, Curtis has a takedown defense of 100% and does an excellent job of keeping these fights upright.

In this one, I like for the up-and-comer Curtis to get the job done in what I expect to be one of the best fights of the evening.

Best Bet: Chris Curtis (-110 via DraftKings)
