UFC Fight Night London Odds, Preview & Betting Guide: Paddy Pimblett vs. Jordan Leavitt (2022)

It’s not the main event or co-main event of the evening, but anytime Paddy Pimblett is in the octagon these days is big business for the UFC; and potentially Paddy himself. Now sponsored by Barstool Sports as well, Paddy is becoming one of the biggest draws in UFC, and a fight on Saturday in his home country of England will serve as his highest profile to date.

Is Paddy the real deal? Or will Jordan Leavitt end the heated talk that has carried on throughout this week? Let’s take a closer look at one of the more highly touted fights of Saturday’s UFC London.

Betting Profile: Paddy Pimblett (18-3-0)

Last Five Fights (W-W-W-W-L)

Though he has just two fights under the UFC banner, Pimblett’s antics outside of the ring and on social media, in addition to his two first-round wins, have earned him this fight high on Saturday’s main card. Before joining the UFC, Paddy was a former Cage Warriors champion, winning most of his fights inside the distance to earn a big reputation.

Betting Profile: Jordan Leavitt (10-1-0)

Last Five Fights (W-W-L-W-W)

While many consider Leavitt the next fighter to be hand fed to the rising superstar in Pimblett, I think 27-year-old American might have something to say about that narrative. Having fought five times with the UFC, including his debut on DWCS, Leavitt is 4-1, with three of his four wins coming inside the distance. Having just fought in April, Leavitt earned a split decision over Trey Ogden to set up this main card debut.

Bottom Line

Opening as high as -400, we’ve seen Pimblett’s odds come back to earth quite a bit, as The Baddy is now in the -260 range, which I still think is too high. He does hold a massive edge in significant striking at 6.07 landed per minute (vs. 2.49), but he also absorbs nearly double the shots of Leavitt.

While I don’t think this fight would have been set without a clear path to victory, I do believe Leavitt gives him fits early, and this one ends via the judge’s scorecards.

Best Bet: Paddy Pimblett via Decision (+330 via DraftKings)
