2024 Big3 Basketball Best Bets: Week 7
Here are our best bets for Week 7 of Big3 basketball action.
3’s Company vs. 3 Headed Monsters
Last week, 3's Company added a win without even playing. They had the Aliens on schedule, but the Aliens didn't have enough healthy players. Therefore, the Aliens had to forfeit, and 3's Company won. 3's Company is now 5-1 on the season. Reggie Evans leads the league in rebounds per game, and Michael Beasley averages 20.4 points per game, which is third-best in the league. Those two have played tremendously well and have complemented each other well. They'll take on the 3 Headed Monsters, who looked absolutely pathetic in their latest game. The 3 Headed Monsters lost to the Enemies, 51-18. They scored just eight points in the first half and followed that with only 10 points in the second half. Jeff Teague was the leading scorer, but he scored just six points and actually added more rebounds than points. I'll take a fresh 3's Company at -5.5 (-114).
Pick: 3’s Company -5.5 (-114)

Bivouac vs. Enemies
Fans were hoping this might be a battle of two undefeated teams, but then Bivouac had to go and lose last weekend to the Ghost Ballers. So, Enemies will get a team that is not only looking to prove it is the best but coming off a loss and eager to get back to its winning ways. But it may not matter too much. Why? Because the Enemies are playing excellent basketball. They have the best offense and defense in the league. Everyone is shooting over 40% from the field, and four players are also killing it from three-point range. Bivouac has the talent needed to win any game, but they may need someone on Enemies to have an off day for them to win. Bivouac is good, but Enemies is better.
Pick: Enemies -2.5 (-114)

Triplets vs. Ball Hogs
The story of the Triplets’ season is beating up on teams they should, while also losing to every team that is better than them. This weekend, they take on a team that is about even with them, so it’s hard to know exactly which way this is going to go. The Ball Hogs absolutely destroyed the Killer 3’s last week. But everyone has beaten the Killer 3’s this season, so it’s hard to be overly impressed with the performance. And don’t forget, the Ball Hogs lost by 17 the week before against Bivuoac. It was their second loss of the season by 15 or more points. With the unpredictable nature of the Ball Hogs and the inability of the Triplets to beat teams of their caliber, we’re going to avoid the spread and play the total. Expect a close game where both teams score at least 45.
Pick: OVER 92.5 (-114)
– Phil Wood
Ghost Ballers vs. Aliens
Last week, the Aliens had to forfeit their game against 3’s Company due to a lack of eligible players. But even if they could have played, it’s unlikely they would have come away victorious. They’ve struggled this season, and one of their two wins was over the second-worst team in the league. While we’d take just about any team in the league to beat the Aliens, the Ghost Ballers have been wildly inconsistent this season. Last week, they pulled off a massive win over Bivuoac. But in the two weeks prior, they lost to the Trilogy and by 23 to 3’s Company. Neither of these teams has been consistent enough to trust against the spread. Therefore, we recommend taking the over. Because of where the total is set, the over could hit and either team could end up pulling out the win against the spread.
Pick: OVER 92.5 (-115)
– Phil Wood
Tri-State vs. Trilogy
This game is a rematch from Week 2, in which Tri-State dominated in the first half before holding on to win 51-40. But the Trilogy team they play this week is different from the one they faced back then. Isaiah Briscoe has become a massive scoring threat after getting off to a slow start this season. Cady Lalanne and Roscoe Smith have become more adjusted to the Big3 style of play. The team is doing a much better job of playing together. However, a Tri-State team that was good in Week 2 has only gotten better. Kevin Murphy is second in the league in scoring with 123 total points (Briscoe is first with 125); he's averaged 25 ppg the last few weeks. It is worth noting that they won last weekend despite only having three players. Trilogy has been playing better, but they have yet to do so against a competitive team. They'll get their chance this weekend and will find out they still have some work to do. However, they'll make a game of it, and that score will be high.
Pick: OVER 91.5 (-114)
