In a late-night start, the Storm and Dream meet up at Rogers Arena in Vancouver, B.C. in the first-ever WNBA regular-season game played in Canada.
Seattle is skidding lately, losing six in a row, while failing to cover in the past six, too. The Over is 3-1 in the past four games, with the total going high in five of the past seven games, as well.
Atlanta and Seattle have met three previous times this season, with Atlanta winning both meetings in Seattle, while Seattle won the only previous battle in Atlanta. The road team is also 3-0 ATS this season, and 5-1 ATS in the past six in the series. The Over has also cashed in four of the past five meetings since Aug. 16, 2024.
These teams met in Seattle on Wednesday, with the Dream winning 85-75 as a 3.5-point underdog while the Under (161) cashed. The Dream shot 49.2% (31-of-63) from the field in the road win, while hitting 46.2% (12-of-26) from behind the 3-point line. Atlanta was plus-16 in the rebounding department, and won by double digits despite a plus-8 turnover margin.
Seattle shot just 41.9% (31-of-74), and 35.3% (6-of-17) from behind the 3-point line. The Storm also left a lot of points on the floor, hitting just 53.8% (7-of-13) from the free-throw line. Nneka Ogwumike was good for 29 points, but they had just one other scorer in double digits, Gabby Williams, who went for 11 points.
Atlanta was without Jordin Canada due to a right hamstring issue, but Maya Caldwell did a good job in the starting five, going for 10 points, seven rebounds and a pair of three-pointers in 34 minutes. Brittney Griner was solid with 11 points and eight rebounds in 18 minutes off the bench. Meanwhile, Rhyne Howard was good for 25 points and seven assists with five triples, and Allisha Gray had 22 points and 11 rebounds in 39 minutes.
Let’s keep backing the Dream to get the job done, while we roll with the Under.
Picks: Dream -3 (-108) & Under 160.5 Points (-110)
